Went today for the first time this semester. For some reason they don't open for lunch during the summer (found that out the hard way after parking), but I did go a few times last year.
After today I'm not sure why they ever open for lunch. Walked in a little after 11:30 and noone was in the front. Found a booth (I was one of two tables) and waited, and waited. Finally someone comes out from the back and walks right past me then goes to the bar and tells the bartender to come take my order. I know what I want already so I ordered drink and all since there is no telling how long it would take him to get back. Burger/fries comes out and its wrong, he takes it back. New order comes out and I get to looking at it. Nothing like last year. Small patty, bacon is no longer praline and everything tastes worse than I remember. Won't be back. Here's to hoping Curbside pulls it off and can stay consistent.

TL;DR. Service is absolutely as horrible as its ever been and food is now pretty bad as well. The tea however is still pretty good.

You mentioned Curbside. Barcadia and Curbside are no longer affiliated. I haven't been since the split. No real reason to with Chimes next door.

Chimes next door has a better/cheaper burger, 10x the beer selection, and better service.

The only thing I will go to barcadia for is to beat my girlfriends arse in skeeball

Like BMoney said, Barcadia and Curbside no longer have a partnership. Barcadia could have easily kept making solid food if they wanted, but they chose not to. They may not be able to help that Hufft pulled out, but they can help not purchasing shite ingredients.

From the looks of it today, you are probably correct. I was there for about an hour (say from 11:30-12:30) and there was one other table and two people at the bar. They will not make it without some major improvement.

They rarely have servers working during lunch hours for the day. Bartender usually doubles as the table server. Just sit at the bar next time if there is room.

I noticed the same. Menu still says praline bacon but havent gotten that the past two times.

I wouldnt go that far. I frequent there once every week or two for happy hour. Literally cant beat $1 domestics and half priced apps. Yeah burgers have been lacking since Curbside left. But cheese curds, fried pickles, wings, and some of the sandwiches are still very good.

Barcadia, if I had to place money on it. Bullfish is a lost cause, I don't know why people insist on putting a restaurant or anything in that building. If they want to blow their money they can just give it to me.

Just put an actual bar there. No food, just a bar for college students and gameday.

ETA: in barcadias location

I've never been to get BR location

But the Nola Location on tchop, kills
It. You can't beat the happy hour prices and drink specials. The pours are generous. They have bartenders that have been there a good while and know what they are doing and can absolutely rock a packed house and a couple aren't bad on the eyes either. The FOH managers take care of business and know their repeat customers and aren't stingy with buying you a drink or shot.

I will say I haven't been eating there as much just drinking but I haven't heard any complaints on the changing of quality.

But this is the Nola location im talking about.

I haven't been to either, but I was in town for the Ole Miss game a few weeks back.

After the game I walked past Walkons - it was packed as always, Pluckers - packed as always, Mcdonalds - packed, and Bullfish. Bullfish was almost totally empty.

It's not the location that is failing them obviously.

speaking of gamedays. this was on their social media

quote:

As a new restaurant, our limited experience came through last night as 100+ LSU and Alabama fans simultaneously walk through our wide open doors expecting a great experience. We were unprepared for the onslaught. At best, we fumbled, but in several instances we just plain failed. It's a business owner's worst nightmare and hopefully, our hardest lesson! We understand our breakdowns, how we 'lost' orders and, most importantly, how to course correct.
To the guests we let down, we are so very sorry. We will work hard to deserve another chance.

Doesnt sound good. How are you not ready for an onslaught the night of the Bama game?

Has to be Barcadia. Figure they make their yearly nut over the home games, right?
