How come none of you fools told me about this? Anyone seen it in the NOLA area? I know 504 has some. Still can't believe I had no idea about this.

I haven't been overly impressed with Ballast Point. The Sculpin is alright. Not a bad staple 6-pack to have in the fridge.

I like Sculpin a lot. However, I don't like $15 6-packs of Sculpin. It's not *that* good. I know I'm in the minority on this, but regular Sculpin > Grapefruit Sculpin.

I can sort of justify Victory at Sea at that price point, since it's a 10% beer, and you don't find too many of those priced at $2.50/bottle.

Few places have it on tap in the area (Nola). Haven't seen it in stores yet but honestly I haven't looked. I'm sure it'll be shelf turding in rouses soon enough, shite BCBS was getting some good aging at the Wank rouses earlier this month.

According to Facebook post last night it's $13 at WF. I paid $15 a six back yesterday at Dorignac's. I am finding Dorignac's prices on certain hot items higher than normal, bastards.

Are they double the price of all the other beer? That seems to be the case in other places

I prefer regular Sculpin over all those variants as well.

However, I also agree about the $14 per six pack shelf price. I've never bought Sculpin off the shelves because there's too many just as good option (some even better IMO) at a lesser price.

It is, oddly enough, competitively priced for a pint at bars, so when I'm out and it's on a beer menu l'lol sometimes order it.

Even out here on the west coast they're priced like that. You'd think the shipping would make it cheaper here.

A Shreveport retailer told me that they had hoped to have it this week, but looks like it will be next week before it hits the shelves.

Its been in Texas for a couple of years now and I rarely buy anything of theirs. I like Grapefruit Sculpin and will get it on draught sometimes but never buy the overpriced sixers. Victory at Sea is the other good one they brew but I usually get Founders Breakfast Stout instead. Their Dipa, Dorado, is pretty average.

They timestamp the bottom of the bottle. Picked up some grapefruit for 11.98 at Rouses, even though it said 12.99. I think their grapefruit is the best one out there but I see regular sculpin shelfturding here. Looking forward to trying VAS.

You're not.

Hell no I'm not paying $15 for a 6-pack of that as one of their flagships. What's Pineapple Sculpin going to be in Louisiana, $20 a 6-pack.

Yeah, Dorignac's has the highest priced Ghost and Prairie Stouts usually. Their rum selection is also astronomically high and I just can't figure out why.
