There was a recipe for a kickass Bacon and BC slaw posted on here within the past 1-2 years. I did a search and couldn't find it and it doesn't look like it made it to the Recipe Book. I think it was TreeDawg who posted it. Could someone please help me out with this recipe??

ETA LSUBalls' recipe is the one I used and I added bacon.

Head cabbage chopped (or buy the packs)
Head Red cabbage chopped
5 Chopped up boiled eggs
3 chopped up bunches of green onions
Banana pepper liquid (vinegar)
Few big globs of Hellman's mayo
Thing of good blue cheese crumbles
Salt and or Tony's
Shitload of cracked black pepper

Incorporate all ingredients in a bowl. Eat and call it good.

From the Englishman:

quote:

Blue Cheese Coleslaw Ingredients 1 (16 ounce) package shredded coleslaw mix 1/4 cup finely chopped sweet onion 1/2 cup cider vinegar 3 tablespoons white sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1/2 cup sour cream 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese salt and pepper to taste Directions Toss together the coleslaw mix and onion in a bowl In a saucepan, mix the vinegar, sugar, and 1 teaspoon salt. Bring to a boil. When sugar has dissolved, pour over the slaw mix and onion. Toss to coat and let stand 15 minutes. Drain the slaw mix in a colander, and return to the bowl. Toss with mayonnaise, sour cream, and blue cheese. Season with salt I add bacon... what of it!?

Never had it, but the below makes a pretty killer bleu cheese coleslaw. You could just add bacon

Head cabbage chopped (or buy the packs)
Head Red cabbage chopped
5 Chopped up boiled eggs
3 chopped up bunches of green onions
Banana pepper liquid (vinegar)
Few big globs of Hellman's mayo
Thing of good blue cheese crumbles
Salt and or Tony's
Shitload of cracked black pepper

Incorporate all ingredients in a bowl. Eat and call it good.

I couldn't find it, either. I did find this recipe that sounds good, though.

No problem. I think I may do bacon next time too. Another good add is cilantro.

There's one in the Recipe Book that's Nikinik's blue cheese and cilantro slaw on p 128. Not the one you wanted, apparently, but for future reference, it's there.

You could add the other ones to the recipe thread so Rat can add them when he does his next update.

I've been using a Cloris Leachman recipe, but I'm trying this next time.

Here is Cloris' if anybody is interested.

It's good too. We love it.
