Has anyone been yet? Wife and I are thinking of giving this a shot sometime soon. 2 Commanders chefs and a very interesting menu make this an intriguing place. Drinks look good too.

Opinions? I'll update with mine when we finally get there. Hoping this weekend

Went. Carnitas bacos and crawfish Rangoon gratin were great. They did a real good job with the renovations.

Yes.

I went for lunch this past week, had the lettuce wrapped Chipotle-Agave Brisket bacos with a side of brussels sprouts cooked with pork belly and a sweet sauce. The sprouts were out of this world.

The bacos were very tasty, however the portion is small, and even with the side I was still hungry. I would for sure spring for an app to share. They tout using locally sourced ingredients / near by farms, which, if you're into, is pretty neat.

I will be back for sure

just back from there tonite
place was packed, definitely make a reservation

one cocktail and one beer
wings, chicken/avocado lettuce wraps, shrimp pad Thai, pork bun tacos, Brussels sprouts, coffee and dessert
80 bucks plus tip

everything was excellent, we cleaned the plates
if you have a craving for spicy/sour/sweet this is your place
service was excellent especially considering how busy they were
I'm an easy grader but this place is right in my wheelhouse, 10/10
can't wait to go back

Finally got to try it, and we had mixed reviews with an overall positive in the end. There were 4 of us, and we thought the following:

Bland, not very good:

*Bacos- oyster, shrimp and carnitas; none were necessarily bad, but they all were very bland.

Mixed opinions at table:

*Mexican Street Corn- it's good, but it takes a bite or two to really appreciate the flavors. I think this was due to my first taste following the strong flavor in the excellent brussel sprouts.

*Baco bangcock chicken- I didn't get to taste, but others said the chicken was very good. The problem is that none of them liked the slaw on it. I did get to taste that, and I agreed. It was bad.

*shrimp bacon pad thai- I thought this was very good, and it is different than traditional PT. My wife was not a fan, but our two friends liked it.

*kimchi debris fries- this could be excellent, but it needs more kimchi and debris on it. the fries are killer; however, this was all we could really taste.

The winners:

*Brussel Sprouts- best thing on the table. this is Cochon great... maybe even better!

*Crawfish Rangoon Gratin- very good. everyone really enjoyed this. some thought it was great, but I was a tad less impressed than they were.

*habanero guacamole- my second favorite dish! others were turned off by the spice (not me!), but we all agreed the flavor was unique and outstanding.

*Vietnamese roast beef poboy- everyone agreed this was the best entree. THIS is what needs to be on their "bacos," not the other ones we had. I would love to get this on one of those delicious steamed buns.

We all agreed it is worth going back, though it is not a consistent menu. The Wife and I will definitely be there in the future to try the other menu items along with more brussels. Those things were addictive.

3.5/5 rating for me with room for improvement.
