Anybody here ever had Reisfleisch? The name translates to "Rice Meat" and it's very similar to our jambalaya, but they put parmesan cheese on top.
Here's a recipe.

I've never heard of it, but I decided to Google it. Wolfgang Puck has multiple recipes out there for it.
Veal Reisfleisch (with Parmesan)
Vegetarian Reisfleisch (no Parmesan and uses a pressure cooker)
Chicken, Sausage, and Shrimp Reisfleisch (no Parmesan, uses a pressure cooker)
It seems like the last one is the most reminiscent of jambalaya, but I would eat any of those.

Add biryani to the list...the Indian/Pakistani variation on meat/seasoned rice.
And I think of those lotus-leaf wrapped packets of sticky rice and Chinese sausage (a common dim sum offering, sorry I can't recall the name) as a jambalaya cousin too.
