It's time for a new grill for me and I am too poor to afford the big name ceramic kamado grills, but I found this one at Lowes LINK

The reviews seem good. Anyone have experience with it?

Long time Primo XL user and have seen the Akorn at Kroger for ~ $320. From reviews, better ensure all the parts are in the box and make sure the intake/exhaust seals are in place and tight before using. If I were wanting to save $ upfront, and thought I might need to move the cooker a good bit and wanted a grill that weighed much less, I would consider giving it a shot. Can't be worse than a normal grill, and probably a good bit better for some smoking applications. I am assuming it is similar to a big steel keg, maybe not as well made.

The seal problems are fixed in the new models. Well worth $300, you won't be sorry. I have the original and it's still cooking like a champ.

Love mine

Use it multiple times a week

I think I saw it for 250 or 270 at Walmart the other day

I added a smaller grate and pizza stone to create a heat shield for indirect cooking. I also added some hi-temp sealant around the door at the bottom to seal it up better
