A friend of mine was out there, said it was packed, long lines for chicken so they left.

It's a freaking clusterf*ck down here. I live across the street and I'm not standing in those lines. It's insane. Lafayette Square is too small for it.

I got talked into going by friends. Walked in, made a lap, then walked out. What a disaster.

sad weekend for festivals.

Gleason Gras has lost tremendous steam in terms of attendance

I heard it was a total disaster.

Not surprised at all- thought it was a horrible idea from the beginning.

the new venue is a terrible setting. feels like a parish fair. I hope they raised a lot of money though donations but the crowd was sparse to say the least

Chicken Fest organizers were unprepared for the crowd size. If it returns, will need to move to City park. Was a cluckster of epic portions!

We drove down but when parking was difficult and people were walking from +5 blocks away we turned around and left. We ended up eating at Part and Parcel and our meal was really good.

Arrived at 10:55am, line for Willie Mae's was 50+ deep by 11am.... waited 20ish minutes for bacon stuffed waffles & chicken from Belle's Diner. There were only about 15 people in line when I got in, which was about 40+ by the time I was served.... two different drink stations were out of water at 11:30.... I left by 11:35 as the clusterfrick grew out of control.

Great idea. Awful venue. Can't believe they underestimated the crowd size.... they'll move it city park now and start charging.

Went over and made a circle and left. Like others have said. It was a total cluster. Didn't try anything

Terribly ran layout. Waited in line 30 minutes only to be told they ran out of chicken. The next line was also just as long so we left and ate at Manning's instead. Everyone I know that went left and went to Popeyes because of the lines.

Insane lines

they were not expecting anywhere near that many people.

completely understaffed.

Crowded

There were chicken stands and then like a small stage.

They need to scale up next year.
