When TJ Ribs does it as a special, it is one of the best things you can order in Baton Rouge

J. Alexander's has a better cut IMO.

I'll take J Alexander Prime Rib over most steaks.

And I do almost monthly.

I like a good thick slab of prime rib cooked med rare them sear it on the outside just a little. Serves with some horseradish and aux jus and I'm GTG.

It's just roast beef.
Well, that's not true at all. Overrated? maybe. Still, it's so much better than anything not from the rib.

I like prime rib. Capital City Grill does a nice one for a reasonable price.

I don't know how it is considered overrated either though. Who is rating this prime rib so high?

The term overrated is overused and over-mis-understood.

Would you prefer over-priced, antiquated, boring?

How the frick is a cut of beef antiquated? It's one of the best cuts of meat on a cow. It's not a fad, it's a got damn whole ribeye. Is a ribeye supposed to go away after at certain amount of time?

Sliced beef with jus and horseradish isn't how I like to spend $40-$50.

That's fine. Doesn't make it antiquated.
