Check out Crosscut Brewpub if you're thirsty. One of my favorite stops just South of Lufkin.

I guess nothing has changed. I'm still the last Yelp review.

The beer made up for it though.

I can absolutely be pleased.

That Mexican joint at Toledo Town is terrible. I grew up in nearby Many so I've been out there a few times.

Mama's in Natchitoches is ok for what it is I suppose but nothing out of the ordinary. Just typical North Louisiana fried food.

oh
as a local I can speak for all three of those establishments, and if you can't enjoy a burger at Ray's or Mama's or Mexican food at La Unica, and I'll add Del Rio for the usual tex-mex, I don't know how to help.

4.8 stars on Google reviews
156 5 star reviews on Facebook to 7 twos and 7 1s.

You're one of those "____________ is garbage people who should be ignored.

So it's a step above Sonic in nearby Many, LA which has 3.9 stars. Cool.

Which one are you actually talking about? There is Hacienda El Jimador and apparently there is a newer one called Pepe's that opened a year ago. I have not tried Pepe's.

And I can't imagine what's funny about my comments on Mama's. It's nothing special. Typical fried food that you can get just about anywhere else that has typical fried food except Mama's is about twice the price because it on Front St and caters to tourists.

Gotta love some meat pies but I'm trying to branch out and eat something a little different since I can eat a meat pie any day I want to here in Natchitoches.

Pepe's

I love it when this happens.

I just can't imagine thinking this way. Nothing special? Does every meal have to be special? if everything were special, nothing would be. I go there almost every time I'm in town because I can count on enjoying no matter what I order. Plus, I get to do it all over again 6 hours later.

It's ok to disagree on things and apparently we disagree here. I don't care for the place. You do. Life will go on. Enjoy your next visit.

Can't wait. Infact, the next time I'm at a mediation at Corkern/Crews I'm going to tell Crews no thanks to the greasy Lasyone's meat pie and less than average rice dressing. Bring me some fried goodness!

some good places in College station if you took a quick detour. Muller's BBQ in Taylor is on the way as well.

All else fails I might just eat at Buc-ees

I think Bucc-ees needs to add picnic tables or something. We stopped in the one in Baytown, loaded down with food and just took it to the hotel in Houston to eat since they had no place to eat the food.

Now that you mention it I don't think I have ever noticed tables at any Buc-ees I have been to.
