The funny thing about bartenders is that I have found the most arrogant douches to be the ones who don't do much more than pull taps or do mixed drinks.

The ones who can also make good cocktails are usually decent people.

I have only been to CBD a few times, but thats only because I like their small pours. If there was another place in BR that did that, I would never go to CBD. Place is weird af. There is zero atmosphere.

Only dont like one of them there. Actually had a few others who were very knowledgeable and seemed like good people.

The small pours are what got me in the door too

Hopefully more places realize this and start to do it. I guess I see why they don't offer it though. Its not like I'm not going to buy a beer at the chimes or bulldog, so I'll spend $7/8 rather than $3/4 every time I buy one. Its just sometimes I don't want 16/20 oz pours of some beers, especially if I haven't had them before. At least at Chimes they will let you get 12oz pours for alot of their beers if you ask, but bulldog makes you get the pint except for "special" beers

I think Chimes will do the 12 oz. glass for any of their beers. I almost always ask for that option and have never been told no.

Last time I went I ordered a glass of Saint Arnold Divine Reserve (16 maybe?) and she brought out an Imperial Pint. It was tough to get through that whole beer, but she did only charge me for the glass.

Yeah this is the case for me as well. Would prefer to get a small pour and move on to the next beer

I'm actually going to stop by CDB this evening and hope that I get some dumb shite remarks so I can tell them to suck a big dick.

Will post afterwards

That's the way to go. Who wants to get a shitty beer and have to finish a pint of it?? AMIRITE or AMIRITE?

CBD is a complete cancer to the beer scene in Baton Rouge.

That's a fricked up story. I find it a little hard to believe -- most of the guys that work there have always been really nice to me. Not that I'm saying you're lying, why would you do that, but it's just a little out there.

Makes me wonder if the customer was a habitual douchebag in there or a chronic non-tipper.

I was there. Bartender verbally undressed the dude infront of his wife. It was pretty awkward.

I was pretty shocked that the guy stuck around CBD. I would have left immediately.

Nah, just wondering why a bartender would act like that... I wasn't there, I have no idea.

Doubt it Boo, he did a similar thing to JBeam and I when we mentioned a business idea.
