Yep, live in KC now, and Joe's is damn good, but there are others in KC that would probably top it now. Q39 is pretty damn amazing.

Hidden gems, I guess.

Joe's in blue Ridge was average. Blue Oak and the joint better in my opinion.

Destin? LOL
Yeah, because it's so impossible to make good BBQ outside of Texas, Tennessee, Kansas City, and the Carolinas.

The Western United States didn't make the list but Florida has 3 in the top 10? Okey dokey.

I have no idea how Joe's in Blue Ridge even made this list. It's not even close to being the best in that state.

This is a silly list.
Being from Georgia/Tennessee but now living in Austin, I'm always biased to things from the Southeast. But to say Joe's in Blue Ridge is the best BBQ in the country is blasphemy. I had a good time there and the owner (I presume Joe) was a great guy, but this is no better than your average BBQ joint in any city.
A place like La Barbecue in Austin or Gatlin's in Houston isn't even in the same category.

Been to one a few times. Wouldn't consider it the best.
ETA:
Saw's in Homewood should be on every list. I plan on going to KC and Austin to graze on BBQ alone. It is my go to food.

I second this! BBQ was great and the setting is even better. That is a place where BBQ should be eaten!

Never had Snows but I should have included Luling City Market in my list
