An open discussion on what to get at Shaya...

So my wife and I are beyond pumped to finally check out Shaya this Saturday, August 29. (As a quick aside, it is nothing short of remarkable as to how far the dining scene has come in 10 years).
But what I would like to gather in this thread are any must-gets at Shaya. Below I listed some of the dishes we are considering but I would love to hear from those that have already been.
First, we were thinking of taking advantage of the three for $15 special. Specifically choosing three of the following: Baba Ganoush, Tabouleh (parsley and bulgar salad), Lutenitsa (puree of roasted eggplant, red peppers, garlic and tomatoes), Wood Roasted Okra, and Tzatzski.
From there, we heard the curried fried cauliflower was a must get.
Finally, we are likely splitting two small plates but are there any big plates that are a must get instead (like the slow cooked lamb)?
Any feedback is very much appreciated!

Talk about it at the table, that's the fun in it all. Have some cocktails.

curried fried cauliflower
This......It's actually hummus with curried fried cauliflower, but we've gotten this both times we've gone. That warm pita bread is hard to not fill up on.
I actually like the falafel at 1000 Figs better than Shaya, though it's still good there.
Can't help with much else since we just got small plate stuff the two times we went, but get the cauliflower hummus.

Oh we certainly will enjoy ourselves. There are just so many dishes that look incredible I am looking for input to help narrow it down.

That's the thing, something will catch your eye/taste and you'll have to rethink everything. The falafel is great btw, don't count that off your list...or push anything to the top based on this thread. It's all damn good and the place is beautiful. Enjoy.

Ask if there are any specials. They don't always have them, or tell you about them.

I am a pre-dinner menu checker to an extent too, but I agree with the others.. don't worry too much about it beyond hearing some recs until you get there.
My mother will check a menu in advance (sometimes several times) and have her entire meal planned before we even arrive. It kinda ruins the fun.
