I am bringing 6 high school boys into town for a tournament this week and was looking for a decent place (not high end) to bring them for supper on Wednesday. Any suggestions?

I'd probably go with Spirit's, but other option's are Oriental Wok for Chinese, Robbie G's for fried seafood, Swamp Daddy's for crawfish, Outlaws for BBQ, BJ's for pizza, and Lou and Laura's for fried chicken.

Rosie Joes has the best crawfish in town. Either that or Robbie G's. Spirits is okay. Honestly Alexandria is all chain restaurants.

i wholeheartedly disagree....I tried some from Rosie Joe's last weekend. Way too salty and overpriced at $4.99/lb. Swamp Daddy's has never disappointed, always nice size and well seasoned.

Spirits sounds like it may be the winner. Tell me more about whats good there. Also, what is this chicken place Lou and Laura's all about?

it's a small place on jackson street that has really good fried chicken. actually its "broasted" chicken but it's some of the best chicken that i've ever had. Their curly q's are pretty good as well.

If you are visiting alexandria, do not go there. it will not wow you, nor will anything in my hometown unfortunately. Not many good food places. you will have a very bland experience honestly.
Khan's is a good option actually. Its a very good mongolian grill and probably the most unique restaurant alexandria has. or we have a hibachi grill. it's good as well.

Lou and Laura's has good burgers but its not a place for someone out of town to visit imo.

BJ's and buy 'em a couple of pizzas and a couple pitchers of Coke?

Goddamn, I want a BJ's pizza right now.

Awe man me too. I grew up close to the one in Pineville and used to love that place.

Probably should've read this. the wok is good (tiny spicy chicken). BJ's is also pretty good.
Robbie G's would probably be ideal because they can be loud and no one would care. Very good food and free peanuts. Probably my favorite place to eat in town

Yep, me too. Parents still live on 107 and I get one any time I go visit.
