I've been adding grass-fed butter and coconut oil to a cup of organic coffee every day for a week now, and I can definitely tell the difference when it kicks in. I'm sharper and there's no crash.

I've heard a few people list drawbacks, but mostly praise all around.

What does TD think about drinking 'bulletproof' coffee? Is it the way of the future?

Try shaving with it. Grass fed butter and coconut oil with coffee shave cream is all the rage. Chicks love it.

Butter/oil + coffee sounds like a disaster for my digestive system.

Dude hype. About as legit as old ladies doing the cabbage soup diet.
Th bulletproof coffee guy IS a marketing genius, but his whole empire is proof that otherwise intelligent people are swayed by posturing and not science.

Ive started doing it. It works, in the sense that it gives me an unbelievable amount of energy throughout the day. You're definitely feeling full and energized. The caffeine hits you harder than usual, so be warned.

When I dip my French bread and butter, I get butter in my coffee. Not grass fed though. Never noticed more caffeine kick though.

Old people been doing this for years. It's called breakfast.

I've been using a tablespoon of kerrygold butter and a tablespoon of coconut oil. I haven't had a crash. After a few days, I noticed I was starving by 11 AM. To combat that, I've been eating a light breakfast.

I do it multiple times a week, but I use regular coffee, not any special organic coffee.

Though I do use kerrygold butter.

1/2 tbsp heavy cream
1 tbsp kerrygold unsalted
1 tbsp extra virgin unrefined coconut oil (from Costco)
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 stevia packet

Mix with stick blender
