How do the resident craft guys get a hold of some of the beers that don't distribute here?

I use blackwell's for stuff out of the west coast, but i'm trying to get things like:

Heady Topper - Vermont
Lawson's - Vermont
3 Floyd's - Chicago
Wicked Weed - North Carolina
Hill Farmstead - Vermont

Had an old friend from LSU go to Vermont law school that took care of me a number of times, but he has since graduated and moved back to Philly.

Acquiring information on acquiring hard to acquire beers will lead to the conclusion that they are hard to acquire.

For real though I would like to know how to get some Highland Gaelic from North Carolina. I was in Raleigh for work not long ago and tried that and have been craving it ever since.

I need to try it myself. B was kind enough to give me a bottle of zombie dust and it was very good. I just want to try them all. Heady is on the list. Lawson's.

Also, really want to try the stuff from Hill Farmstead

what do you want from 3 floyds? i go to indianapolis several times a year and can mail you or bring you back a bottle or two next time i am up there (august)

They normally have Alpha King six packs, and a few 22oz bombers on hand at the place i go to buy. You would think being in Indiana they would have access to more but 3 Floyds distrobution is total shite and most of it goes to Chicago since its the closer city.

obtain other hard to acquire beers from your area, like say GitM or maybe some Jester King beers or other highly rated Texas beers

go to beer advocate or r/beertrade if you don't know anybody in these areas and post up your FT (for trade) and ISO (in search of)

I have trouble finding JK. Can't find it anywhere in Houston anymore. I need to make a trip to Austin for a long weekend.

Zombie Dust I can try for but its seasonal and it sells out.
Gumball head I can probably get some
Dark Lord....You will have to trade a lot of stuff for some.
Alpha King I can typically find
Backmasking I have not seen

You should consider Dreadnaught as well. Its their DIPA and its one of the best. I have found that one before as well.

Shoot me an email later on and we can work something out next time I go up to Indy.

I had family bring down a pack that I called and paid for a month ago..

GBH is pretty easy for someone in that area to get

Alpha King seems like a shelf turd in that area

AK is the only beer that they have in abundance. Even years ago when I was in Chicago the six packs of anything other than AK, GBH and Pride and Joy was non existant.

Indy gets a decent alotment but there are a shite ton of local breweries in Indy and the surrounding areas that are outstanding and more unknown.
