Don't worry, I picked up another 4 pack today so you can take it with you on the road. The cans should travel well. I don't want you to miss it too much.

I agree. I like the honey-like malt component. NextBD is another.

FBD - Bayou Teche Persimon Sour...better than I was expecting. I can understand people being turned off by the nose, though..

How long has Bulldog been open here? I would guess around 6 years.

Um, well, I'd say 2008ish. I was still in college. It was the place to go back then.

F-5BD were bullshite Colorado Dale's

I finished my last plans for the school year and only have exam grading standing in between me and summer. Effectively 2 days and graduation Friday.

I believe she's been there pretty much since it opened so that may be accurate.

I think its around 6 or 7 years. I know it was open in 09.

Nbd: ghost.

I think its better in the bottle for some reason. At the price it sells for, I wouldn't buy it if it were available all year round.

I liked the last batch more than this one. Still, it is a very good DIPA and the best one brewed in LA. I don't mind paying $12 for a 4pack. Word is that next year they are going to settle on a recipe and it will be available year round. It will be interesting to see how well it sells when it is not so hard to obtain.

With tax, it rounds up to about $20 for a six pack. That's pretty steep. I'll take sculpin, endeavour, and dirt wolf at a lesser cost.

I think you made a good point saying it drinks more like a dirt wolf this go around. I hope they settle on a recipe more like the previous batch

Yeah. I agree with this. Especially if Andrew goes back to the last recipe and stops fricking with it. I know there are differing opinions, but that juiciness was something that is only replicated by a handful of DIPAs in the entire craft beer scene. There's absolutely a market for that. And if it goes year round, man. That would be fantastic. And if it dropped to $10.99 like what we pay for FBS, or even $9.99, it would sell like crazy, IMO. Not that it doesn't already. But you know what I mean.

I like the comparison Jones made to Dirt Wolf, although I think DW is a little more dank.

I'll agree on the taste. Reminiscent of some victory beers. Dirt wolf and hop ranch. Clean crisp hop notes with no malt character.

Also, I think batch 4 was the best. Just enough malt flavor with just enough hop bitterness to match all of the awesome hop flavors. This one is almost too thin/clean/crisp. Weird critique I know. Helluva beer still.

I was in Lafayette this past weekend and tried a bottle before it hit the shelves here. I was telling the local krewe that it reminded me of the Victory DIPAs.
