That is a serious amount of quality food! No way i could eat and drink all that in one sitting. Seems like a good deal though.

That's a great price for the food alone. When he cooked at the James Beard House it was $170. The portions aren't too big so while it is many courses, the amount of food is not so much that you can't finish it all.

Yeah, It sounds like a lot more food than it actually is. I'm sure with the beer though I'll leave stuffed

Ehh. I talked with the General Manager afterwards about how they weren't really prepared to do so much food at once. Most of my food was no where near hot. Also I was disappointed with the amount of beer served.

I don't foresee the same problem at Stroube's on Thursday.

I would be going, but we went to Zwanze day instead. I thought I was saving money. Ohh how wrong I was.

Hahaha. I got to try the 2010/2011 beers for free curiosity of my dad and future brother in law. They brought them home in water bottles for me.

Awesome. What did you think? 2011 was good but reminded me too much of St. Lamvinous. 2010 was awesome. I would have it stocked all the time if it was available. I wanted to try the mamouche but they were out.

Well considering I have never had this I am unsure about the comparison. However since I was getting the two beers with significantly lower carbonation I thought the 2011 was better when I had them. I could easily see how with carbonation the 2010 version would have been amazing. The 2011 had a pronounced wine flavor then the sour aspect hit you, reminding me of a nice vinaigrette almost.

You are correct to say that I would drink the 2010 all the time. The 2011, while great, not sure how many glasses I could drink in a row.

About one! I did like it a little better but the 2010 was far better suited for drinking more throughout a night.

sorry for the delay, its was good. The food wasnt as good as this last one, but at Mansur's your cup never went dry. Stroube's sometimes only brought a half of beer with the dish.

I will continue to go though, I like the range of foods that they prepare, and LOVE Abita.
