There are a few threads about it in the last few weeks.
Not much vanilla flavor. If you like turbodog, you will like this beer.

I always read this as 'double douchebag' for some reason...

I liked it a lot. Very chocolatey, very easy to drink and the vanilla to me came across as just sweetness.

Really good. About my favorite Abita beer.

Underwhelming as hell. Zero vanilla flavor. Highly disappointed in this one given the hype.

I agree it was quite underwhelming. The vanilla was there, but you had to really "look" for it.

Abita hyped this one a lot and failed to deliver.. with their lineup of average beers, I have a lot of difficulty understanding their popularity.

For quite a while if you wanted a Louisiana microbrew, it had to be an Abita. They're still living on that history. They'd do well to release some of their selects (which are often quite food) in their big bottles to break up the monotony.

Well it seems like you dont care for Abita at all. Its not surpising you didnt like this one either.

I thought the beer was great. Full flavored, not very 'hoppy", smooth and the vanilla flavor was slight and at the very end. I will definintely get this beer again. If if you like dark full flavored beers with low "hoppiness" you will really like this.

I liked this brew allot. It does taste very similar to turbo dog but has a hint of vanilla to go along with it.

If I wasn't miserable from drinking for 12 hours yesterday, I'd buy a few for game today.

$5 a bottle? I'd rather spend that on a bottle of Eagle Rare.

I wasn't impressed, couldn't taste the vanilla. I also hated the big arse bottle, felt like i was drinking an 40 oz malt liquor

Pour it into a glass next time and you won't feel so trashy. No brewery bottles in 22 for you to drink the beer out of the bottle.

It's as classy as drinking wine from the bottle.

I drank a Mikkeller chipotle porter out of the bottle today. Was out playing disc and wanted a sipping beer. It was a great beer.

it's not that I didn't like it.. I wouldn't turn a free one down... it's just that it wasn't as good as it could have been

and there are some Abitas that I do like.. they just seem to put out a lot of very average brews. I make sure to buy some Strawberry Harvest every year... but I don't know if I can give anything else high hopes outside of that.
