Eleven Madison Park
Was once a benchmark restaurant for me, but is no longer since they changed the menu format and started trying to be Per Se. They're going to miss Danny Meyer's stewardship.

Some of those restaurants have multiple tasting menus. I think Le Bernadin has two tasting menus.

While Le Bernardin may have two tasting menus, what most of those places including LeB do is a prix fixe menu. $190 choose one dish from each of four courses plus a few canapes, etc... That way they guarantee each diner is spending the minimum they need to be profitable. So it isn't really a tasting menu, per se. Pun intended.

Boswell just did this at Stella! It is now a four course prix fixe menu with a la carte available.

Most of the higher end restaurants do prix fixe as you describe, but that is different from the tasting menus listed above. The format in these kinds of places is $80-125 for three to four courses, plus a couple of amuses, with the tasting menu being more money and more courses. LB's prix fixe is $125, which I think is four courses plus several amuse. The $190 tasting menu is eight courses, and I think there's another tasting menu that is in between.
