Gotta bake a cake w the youngest son for a fundraiser monday night. Probably gonna bake it sunday afternoon. Theme for the cake is "Outdoors." Can really be anything... Gotta b edible tho, so too many props be tough.

Need ideas. I admit, ive cooked for many years... But never baked anything other than proteins and starches. I can, however, follow a recipie.

Mucho appreciated in advance

Make the boudin stuffed king cake that's all the rage.

You could use gummy worms and gummy fish to decorate a fishing scene. Licorice string or use a decorator icing tube for a fishing pole. Maybe blue sugar for water.

Sorry, I'm not a professional, but that's what my kids would probably put on a cake like that.

Donate the cause $100 then bring a few desserts from the best local bakery. Everyone wins.

Chocolate cake
Chocolate icing
Crushed up Oreos and put it on top - to look like dirt
Gummy worms

Or

White cake
Blue icing
Swedish fish
Could even crush graham crackers to make it look like sand/beach

I'm serious. Make a king cake dough and mix up some boudin or buy it, whatever. Decorate the big cake plate with pigs. They live outdoor.

ETA: Look on Pinterest for ideas. There are tons of them. I like some of the s'mores cakes.

Do one of these. You could even put them in small clear cocktail cups and have them as individual servings.

Use a plastic pig or farm animal as the baby. I wonder if you could make a bacon syrup/Steen's not overly sweet sauce/icing for it. I think I'd use bacon and cracklins for the sprinkles in any event. My preference would be bacon.

Look at the little fondant pigs in the sty. Syrup could be the wet part. Crumbs of cracklin' could be sand or dirt with some bacon mixed in.

Or little pig shaped biscuits and maybe stuff a little boudin in the heads and put them in the sty.
