Not a single person mentioned Charcoal? Place is frickin great, and far better than most of that list

Probably has to be a place that accepts cash, card, or check.

I remember going to Snug Harbor because people were flocking to Port o Call and it was a pain to deal with. That was 2007 or so.
I think Hamburgers became chic again around 2008 or so, not just for NOLA. So much was changing on the food scene here it is hard to tell. BR had 225 magazine doing "burger reviews" 05-08 and I have to think that they were following a NOLA trend.

I will never understand for Bud's. LPG should be one, but then again they have so much to offer.

Port of Call and their mounds of artificial bacon bits is overrated as a place can get.
My vote is for LPG.

For me, my favorite part of Port 'O Call was a baked potato. Hungover.

That list is missing Whole Foods

Port of Call cheeseburgers and buttery tater is the best hangover cure. Along with 2 monsoons!
Buds is ok but not in a top ten.

This doesn't really surprise me even though Bud's is no where close to a top 10 burger. I bet a majority of the people that voted live in the suburbs and haven't tried the rest of the options on the list. Buds has been around for years and has multiple locations so it's just a numbers game as far as voting

They never get the proportions right. Either the patty is too big, not enough relish sauce, too much hickory sauce, too much unmelted cheese...
And their fries are an abomination

Yep. The majority of NOLA.com visitors are outside of Orleans Parish. They probably haven't ever tried company/cowbell/LPG because they're "too expensive".

The best burger in town is at a place where I would never order a burger - La Petite Grocery.
Go fur lunch, crab beignets and a burger
ETA: Bouligny Tavern has a great burger, too.

The potato itself is OK. The fake bacon bits, however, are not. There's no excuse for that -- especially at a burger place, where I'm sure there's plenty of real bacon available.

LPG
And Toups deserves a place in the top 10. Ahead of company at least

The veal burger at Cristiano's in Houma blows all of these away. If you don't know by now you better find out.
