It's hard for me to believe laffayatte doesn't have a jambalaya shop anywhere.
Least it didn't couple years ago when I looked all over for one.

Cheesecake Factory
I'm mildly addicted to their bang bang chicken and shrimp. Really good caesar salad too.

Taco Surf in New Orleans. Hit them in San Diego and loved it.

Seconded. Also second El Tiempo in Baton Rouge, but no matter how much better it is, no one is going to challenge Superior so not even worth the hassle.

Theres now one on the corner of Amb and Congress in the Alberston's parking lot. Based on the # of restaurants that have been in its building in recent years, it wont be there long
Edit: this place does look intriguing though. I'll probably check it out soon

Pollo Tropical for the win.
If you have been you will realize they are the absolutely greatest bang for your buck in the USA and their food is really tasty.
Can get a half chicken with 2 legit sides for less than $10.
Can get a tropichop with a huge amount of veggies/rice/meat for less than $8 and they have an awesome toppings/sauce bar

I'll take an In-N-Out Burger and Torcy's Tacos in NOLA.
For the Dave & Buster's idea, Barcadia already exists in BR. Just go there. Although, a D&B is coming to NOLA downtown.

Right answer for most places is a Pappadeaux's and a Rudy's.
Now if there's a place you really have it in for you could open a Sweet Tomatoes. Punish 'em.

An In n out or shake shack on government street in mid city would be legit, almost as legit as a Bud's Broiler.

You'd think that would be a rest that could make it.
Low overhead.
Cooking in bulk.
Not to mention what part of country it's located in.
Make a big pot of white beans, jambalaya and chick sausage gumbo.
Profit.

A Dave & Busters for the kids. J Alexander for me...though I'm not sure if they're a "chain"....or are they? TJ Ribs would be nice down here in Lafourche Parish too.
