I am looking to get a logo refreshed...looks a little faded and dirty to me. It was probably made 20 years ago and it shows in its quality I think. I dont want to change its layout just clean it up, fix a perforated edge (stamp), make the name pop a little better, add .com on the bottom corner. Anyone out there in fark land want to tackle this for me? Does it just need to be redone from scratch? Vector, jpg? Seek out a specialist? Thanks!

Assuming it's a jpeg, the only time it will lose quality is during compression. A lot of people think it losing quality by opening it up several times over time, but that isn't true.

What type of file is it exactly? I don't even remember how logos were saved back 20 years ago. Maybe .psd files?

Might get some traction to your request if you post the image or link.

I meant to post it . Its a jpg file and im saying about the 20 years ago thing becasue of how it looks to me. The company was formed 22 yeas ago so its likely it was done a long time ago.

Lines of the letters are jagged not smooth...I see standard def and want high def if that makes sense. Also the colors seem dirty, washed out...like the orange has some darker splotches especially when you zoom in the pic. I am thinking id like it almost cartoonish maybe...maybe once I saw that I wouldn't...not sure?

So id like someone who knows there way around something like this that can help. I asked my networking guy at my main job if he does this stuff but havent heard back yet. I figured there was possibly someone on here that does it for a living as well or was just really good. I see some great farks on here

There are tons of talented people on this board who can recreate it if needbe. Any idea what that font is by chance? It kind of looks like it was meant to have some texture in the lettering.

Doesn't look like it would be too tough to recreate TBH. I'll look for the font in the interim.

ETA: Might want to seek out Geaux Colonel. That dude does some solid logo work from scratch. Several others as well but their names are slipping my mind.

No idea of the font but I can try to find out...I have my doubts that they would have that info but ill see. And you may be right about the "texture". I dont know if its becasue it might have been done long ago or what but the texture makes it look odd. I dont mind it having texture but just not that. Not sure what it needs...but I know I would like something lol. I'll see if I can find out info.

It looks awful close to Jurassic Park font minus the interior. The C's and the S's pretty much match up but there is still a slight variation.

I went through 10 different font generator sites and not one could pull it. Personally, I think due to the texture.

Still looking though.

Closest font I could find would be "URW Nueland"... not 100% match but with minor tweaking it would be extremely close.

Thanks guys! I recognize it and know I have it, but can't remember the name. By the time I would have scrolled through over 15,000 fonts it was quicker to just draw it lol.

OH MAN OH MAN you NAILED IT!! I cant thank you enough!! I got tied up and forgot to check back on this thread.

I am having issues getting it to open after saving it...is it too awesome to open ? I right click, save as and dont change anything. Windows photo viewer or paint wont open it. I dont really have any other pic programs on my computer.

Edit # 2

I saved it on my iphone and emailed it to my computer and now it works. When I would right click and save it on my desktop the file is 48kb but the one from the email is 586kb...something with right clicking must have been messing it up.

You may need to Right Click > View Image > Save. When I get home I will email you a couple high res and vector versions.

Ahh yea, I did not do the "view image first". And that would be awesome with the high-res and vector!
