I would like to get this picture altered so I can use it for a back drop of a taxidermy piece. This is a pic of my dog and her first solo hunt with me and the two birds we took.

My plan is to make a background board from the pic and do a hanging dead mount of the 2 birds.
Would it be possible to remove the duvks and the game strap from the photo and fill in the voided spots to match the remainder of the background?

I got a start on it if anyone else wants to piggyback.

The image is too small for me to be able to do anything with it.

This was the best I could add to Pain Train's work. Had trouble finding a good dog body to add and a way to blend sticks to keep the legs from looking too odd. Still not sure about the best way to do it. Maybe someone else has a better idea.

Nice work. Maybe OP can post another pic of his dog - in the same position but with her legs showing.

You guys are awesome. I will take a few photos of her in her vest this afternoon and post. I played with some measurements and the picture and it looks like 600% magnification will be the correct size based on the diagonal 2x6 and the vertical 2x4.

The area where the ducks were does not have to be perfect though as it will be behind the hanging mounts of the finished ducks. I think the dogs left front foot will be visible and not hidden by the mounts though.

Not possible.
However, I can put her on a solid neutral background in the same pose and in the vest. would that be helpful?

I'm sure the more source pictures they have to work with the better they can fix it. I tried for about two hours last night but this requires skills above my pay grade. I'm not sure what the picture will look like magnified to 600% but these guys know better than me.

Thanks just adding to what Pain Train got started.

And yea, pics of the dog would definitely help, they would make the quality better than the one I found to blend in. Gonna be busy at work for a few days so probably won't get back to it until this weekend, if anyone else wants to jump in they're more than welcome to.

Not sure what the upper limits of size would be. Sometimes when you start with a .jpg, quality is limited when you start expanding it a lot. It should be alright though.

I don't have my rig handy, or I'd do this.

I'd suggest dropping another board in instead of trying to get the dog's bottom and feet right...

sorry weather here has not be conducive to taking a new pic. I agree though you could simply add some more of the cut brush in place of the dogs fee. I would like to avoid adding another board though.

Again the work that has already been done is AMAZING!

I tried the extra board thing when I first worked on it. As good as a job as you might do, because of the aesthetics of the picture, it still looks like an extra board was added to try to hide something.

Here is another version. It would still require some more touching up on it since you plan to enlarge it so much but it's something else with which to maybe work.

Nice work, I like the legs better on yours. And yea, I considered adding another board but I thought it'd take away from it overall and just wouldn't look right.

Anyone know where I can get this picture enlarged to 24 x 42 in the East Texas area?
