It depends on how the league was set up. Look at the scoring and settings at the waiver time.

The bigger question will be how you plan to explain how the person you dropped (assuming they don't go to waivers) inexplicably got picked up immediately by someone else without everyone getting pissed.

BTW, I think the default setting is that players go on waivers. 2 days IIRC.
