Motherfricking stupid end zone fumble rule.

That was a 9 points swing for me and will cost me the game.

That and my opponent got 19 points from his kicker.

He took a dive at the pylon with the ball... He hit the pylon with the ball as the ball was coming out of his hands.

Ruling on the field was a touchdown but since all scoring plays are reviewed it was overturned and ruled a fumble out the end zone. By rule, this is a touchback and the other team gets the ball.

It was finally recorded as a fumble for a loss this morning.

Such a dumb rule.

Right call..dumb rule. I wasn't even that pissed when it happened. The -3 points for fumble scoring adjustment is what killed me.

How so?

I could see if the ball came loose after hitting the pylon but he clearly lost control before it hit.

If the ball didn't touch the pylon and just went out of bounds, which it basically did, the Chiefs would have retained the ball, Instead it was a turnover.

fumbling out of bounds in the end zone should be retained by the offense wherever the ball carrier fumbled. But nope, it's a turnover. Makes no sense to me.

Why should it be retained by the offense?

Because the defense didn't recover the ball.

Give me a better argument for why it should be a turnover...
