Ok so I'm in a 3 keeper league, 10 team, .5ppr.
My keepers are Lynch, TRich, and Percy. I've got the 1st overall pick and, through a trade, 5th overall pick. I'm 100% taking Megatron with that first pick barring any unusual setbacks

So. Here's my dilemma...
After mapping it out and talking to my friends looks like Brees/Rodgers and Dez will be available with the 5th pick.(my next pick would be 21). Now if I took Dez I would more than certain be the last person to roster a Qb and would be able to use the 21 pick to get Kaep, Wilson, Eli, etc.

So Brees/Rodgers or Dez? I'm personally leaning towards the Dez scenario but looking for 2nd opinions.

Teams would look like this:

Brees/Rodgers
Lynch
TRich
Mega
Percy
Colston/Bowe/Wayne

OR

Kaep/Wilson
Lynch
TRich
Mega
Dez
Percy

That's what I was thinking, especially after reading that "Zero Qb theorem" article.

I'm inclined to say take Brees/Rodgers, but I'll answer this in 6 months.

I fully believe that Dez will be the number 2 WR in traditional formats this year. Seems like he's finally got it together mentally and was really impressive going beast with a broken finger last year. Mega, Dez, Percy would be sick.

My thoughts exactly. My WR core would be unmatched

Do you have to keep Percy?

Don't like him at all this season.

Yeah other options are Fitz and Wayne. I had Spiller and Luck but they were part of the trade for the 5th overall.

I kinda like Percy this year, he's easily their best receiving threat.

Seattle offense isn't conducive to productive fantasy WR. Harvin always hurt too.

You're keeping him over Fitz?

seriously...just spend the entire draft grabbing as many rbs as you can to pair with that juggernaut core of wrs

eta: wait so OP would have those 3 wrs, plus lynch and trent? You absolutely have to go that route. That's basically 5 top 2 round picks, even if it doesn't end up working out you can't really put yourself in a better position to win at the start of the year than that.

Yes fitz burned me too much for me to trust him. I have a good feeling about Harvin They Havnt had a wr like him, nor Qb like Wilson, in recent memory. I think we can see a new side of Sea. Obviously theyre still gonna pound it but still.

No, I can draft Dez and Mega. I could keep Fitz if I wanted tho. I'm for sure keeping TRich and Lynch and most likely Percy.

No. John Skelton, Kevin kolb, Ryan lindley, Derek Anderson burned you. Even with those shitstains Fitz was still Top 10 material.

Warner was the last real QB he had in 2009. Now Carson Palmer is going to chuck it to Fitz every chance he gets. Will probably lead league in targets. As ugly as it may be in real life, Carson to Fitz will be a beneficial fantasy duo

Never healthy, hasn't caught more than 90 balls and hasn't went over 1k yet in his career. Most catches for Seattle last season was 50. Wilson spreads it around a lot. Rice, Tate, Baldwin, miller.. Good real life players. Hawks 29th in passing offense last year and last in pass attempts per game. Great team and players but better suited for real football.

I see what you're saying I just trust Percy at this point more than Fitz(and Carson, still with a shite OLine). You have to remember that this is basically for my Flex position. All I need there is a consistent(I know health, but hypothetically) player. Does Fitz have more upside, sure, but I don't need that when I have Dez and Mega.

I'd rather get 8-13 points(minimum)/ week with Percy than risk going 20 one week, then 5 the next with Fitz.

I know this may sound a tad contradictory, but if this were a choice of who to draft for my #1WR I'd probably lean towards Fitz FWIW

and to this point, aside from last year he only missed 3 games in 3 years, and played in all 16 the year before last. In those 3 years he averaged about 75 catches, 1200 total yards, and 7-8 total TDS. Which would be phenomenal for a flex in a ppr with my lineup

ETA: It just hit me that this is all a moot point...I kept Fitz this year so he's not even eligible for me to be kept

I'm leaning toward the first group with the QB's being the difference.

with that core you go with the stud qb! keep fitz over percy and draft some solid guys to fill out the flex and bench

Fitz > Percy

Palmer is much more likely to throw it a lot to Fitz than Wilson will to Percy. Also, Percy has some injury history
