95/1500/10 would have outscored Julio last year, baw.

If you believe in that prediction, then Hilton is worth a second rounder to you.

Way too early for that. But as I sit here in mid-July, I'm looking at a list of four very talented wide receivers, and my gut says for 2015 I'll take the guys who are huddling with Andrew Luck and Aaron Rodgers over the teammates of Jameis Winston and Brian Hoyer.

sounds good on the surface, but not the way you should look at it.

Deandre Hopkins had a 1200 yard season with Ryan Fitzpatrick, Case Keenum, and Ryan Mallet throwing him the ball last year.

He was 2nd on the team in targets(127).

Andre Johnson was first(146) is gone, and now competing for balls with TY Hilton, among others in a loaded WR corps in Indy.

Targets/Opportunities(coupled with top level talent) is more important than who is throwing you the ball.

Not that Hilton is a bad football player. But you throw in Andre Johnson, Donte Moncrief year older, drafted Phillip Dorsett, some good TE targets, etc.

Hilton as is, is built to be a deep threat. He's just been forced into a lead guy role. That's not really his game.

Indy's all of a sudden very deep at WR. Moncrief came on late last year, now they have an aged but still useful Andre Johnson. Even Philip Dorsett has the jets to take away some of the downfield targets from Hilton.

Okay. I will keep an open mind--it's only July.

Do not listen to the guys telling you to not pick Hilton. Pick Hilton and Cobb. Hilton and Andre are both going to have huge seasons in that offense.

Sounds like bold predictions thread material.

I'm all about Johnson this year. First time with a great Qb. Reggie Wayne factor is exactly what I think. More motivated, even says "he's having fun again." Dude is gonna be a PPR stud.

ok, so you basically think he'll get the same amount of targets as he had last year, with Andre Johnson & Phillip Dorsett being added to the corp, on top of Donte Moncrief being a year older.

plus Dwayne Allen, Cody Fleener, and new addition Frank Gore.

by simple logic, I just cannot see that happening.

for the record, Deandre Hopkins went for 76/1210/6 TDs with Andre Johnson dominating the targets. I'd like you to predict his numbers for me now.

You're naming people that are irrelevant. Also Andre should direct some attention away from TY which I believe will be a good thing. And TY has Luck throwing to him.

I can't predict anything in regards to Hopkins because there are other negative variables being brought into his situation, mainly Hoyer being his qb. I'll rather go with the safer play in TY for this scenario.

who is irrelevant?

I mean I'm not saying they are going to be all pros, but a few catches here, a few catches there, well, they add up. They could be a lot like those Saint offenses where they spread it around.

come on baw, you act like no WR has ever gone off without a star QB.
