What's the board opinion on Devanta Freeman?

Couple mocks I've done and its come down to him or Ezekiel as my RB1 around the 8-10 picks. I'm not expecting Freeman to be as crazy productive as last year but he shouldn't be a slouch either correct?

Would y'all feel comfortable taking him over Elliott or would I take the Cowboys RB hype?

Coleman is suppose to be more involved with the offense this year for the Falcons, take it FWIW

PPR should be a top 10 back

I wouldn't look to hard into the Coleman talk. Freeman if productive will see 18-25 touches a game which IMO will have him in top 10 RB status.

All in, and he's been falling.

He got all his points at the beginning of the year (Weeks 3-9) and fell off. Coleman is a good bet to take away receiving touches but the addition to Alex Mack helps the run game. He's a late 2nd round RB at best this season. I'd take him after Miller, Ingram and Anderson.

Coleman is a good handcuff in case there is an injury, like I said Alex Mack will improve the run game but I dont expect the explosive numbers you saw from Freeman last season.

He was RB5 the last 3 weeks of the season

I'm guessing you're implying this is PPR, not standard. He finished with 75+ rushing yards once in those last 5 games (3 Total TDs) but I guess if you account for the 25 catches he had in those weeks that would improve his numbers. I'm talking strictly standard here. OP didn't specify which

He average just about 10 top RB numbers in those final 5 weeks but no where near the number he was putting up earlier in the season which is about where 2nd round RBs go. Where I would consider drafting him.

Zeke will definitely be higher in my rankings than Freeman, but I think Freeman is a relatively safe option in PPR.

You're wrong

You're gonna have to eat this one

Whether you think he will regress this year or not he was the best RB start to finish last season, standard or PPR

I think they're on equal levels for me. I'm at 5 so it's a bit early for me, but if he's available and McCoy isn't, I'd happily take him. (0.5 ppr)

You would take CJ Anderson over Freeman? Seriously?

Not THAT crazy considering CJA is a better running back than Freeman...just depends on how aggressively you project volume changes for both of them

ATL - solid line, solid QB, Julio, bad enough defense for

DEN - piss poor line, bad QB, DT88 and Sanders may not even matter if Sanchez or whoever can't get it together

ATL doesn't have enough weapons NOT to use Freeman extensively

And I think CJA is a fine back and Kubiak will look to run more. I just don't know how successful they will be based upon the things you mentioned

Kubiak is finally running his offense post Peyton so they will be a run first team with a cowbell back leading the way. Anderson is a sneaky pick this year considering I called him a bust last year.
