I had him on my bench last week and I wanted to get your thoughts on him and his matchup against the Colts on Thurs.

L. Murray is my RB2 as of now and I'm thinking about starting Foster over him.

Who is in your flex? I'm starting Foster, but I wouldn't over latavius.

What is yur league rules? How many of each position do you play?

You should probably wait for foster to have a big game and try to trade him for a wr1.

I am starting him, but my other RBs are Hill/Karlos/Morris/Sproles

I am rolling with Foster/Karlos (if he can play). Hill is facing Seattle.

10 team standard

QB C. Newton on bye Mariota starting
WR C. Johnson
WR AJ Green
WR M. Evans
RB j. Charles
RB L. Murray
TE Eifert
K
DEF

Evans hasn't been playing well so maybe I could package him with Foster for a WR1? Who would you expect to get for Foster if he has a big game this week and Evans?

You can try something like that. Just ask around to find if someone is interested. If standard something like that is more likely than in ppr. Some people may still be concerned about perception of foster being injury prone. If you can't good return he is better on your bench as depth though, so don't be afraid to go that route.

Hopefully Foster has a big game on Thursday, and you can sell him after that.

Eta: also, making a play for gronk should be possible if his owner is desperate for rb's. I think eifert and foster for gronk is a legit offer.

Lot of hate on Foster I see...

With the RB position lacking this year, I would start Foster and keep him long term.

You would trade him for a top player at another position if you already have a lot of depth at rb, and you can only start 2 rb's. This ostensibly increases the amount of points in your starting line up.

Me too.

It's A. Foster, don't get cute. If he's active, you start him.

He was active last week, got 8 carries for like 2 points.

I kind of want to see him have good game before I throw him out there. I know Murray gives me 10 points. I don't know what Foster gets me.

If he has a big game, oh well, I can trade him or Murray.

You still play him, even with the ease in last week. You accept he might not produce, but it's still the best play.

This isn't a normal situation where your blanket "always start your studs" applies. Murray is a top 10 rb this year. He is a stud too that isn't coming off of an injury and playing on a Thursday night game. Going forward Foster is only marginally better than Murray.
