That would suck if it ended fantasy baseball.

Has any news come out on this yet? Did they officially propose the bill yesterday, and what are we waiting for at the moment?

shite, it may be there already. once yahoo and espn roll out DFS on their platforms it will be game over for traditional sports except for football

I wonder if ESPN will just try to buy out Fanduel/Draftkings or just create their own platform from scratch. It's going to be an exciting next few years for DFS.

The Louisiana house passed a bill to fully legalize fantasy sports. Contact your reps to get the senate to vote yes https://bit.ly/1zxLiFa

Put together a daily lineup based on a set budget. You accumulate points just like season long leagues. They have daily tournaments, 50/50 where half of the entries win/lose etc

basically, you're given a budget and each player has an assigned monetary value. You build a daily roster within your budget(fake money) and join contests for real money. Players are awarded points just like they would be in fantasy. If your team scores enough points, you win money.

Kind of like poker, each contest has different buy-in's and different payouts.

future for sure (Metairie)

yeah i'm reading up on it now. Very interesting concept, i've seen plenty of commercials but never looked into it. Works great for people who can't commit to entire seasons but still love to do it occasionally.

Heard on the radio that it's going to be a tough bill to pass since all those folks in northern Louisiana will vote no on the urging of the preachers.

Looks like it was supposed to go before the Senate judiciary B, but it got skipped. Does anyone know what this means?

Do you have to pay state taxes on your cash out or is there a minimum like casinos?

What's going on with this? Can I play DFS from Louisiana now?

The law that was/is preventing me from playing DFS -- Is that the same law that doesn't let me play Golden Tee in the competitions that pay out?

Signed up for it. I'm pretty annoyed that it's taken this long for Louisiana to get this passed.
