I need a RB bad (starter went down recently and I have no depth) and have decent WR depth. I think I'd rather give up Edelmen for Miller looking at games down the road.

There is a big difference between Evans and Edelman. I would not trade Evans. Edelman, sure.

That's what i was thinking, just making sure. I'm trying to get maybe a TE or something to go along with Miller.

1. Edelman is too cheap for Miller
2. Evans is too expensive for Miller

Can't say much else without knowing your team, scoring, league size etc

I think the Jonathan Stewart/Matt Forte range is more realistic for Edelman

I wouldn't trade Evans unless I was getting David Johnson, Le'veon Bell or DeMarco Murray in return. You would most likely have to package Evans with an RB2 to do it. But, Evans could very well be the #1 WR going forward with their schedule.

RBs are too valuable, depending on league depth and how many you start, if I were the Lamar Miller owner I wouldn't trade him for anything less than Evans imo. And I am a Miller owner in a league that has rejected about 8 subpar offers.

Lamar Miller is not worth Evans on any planet.

Your value of Evans is absurd though. You mentioned earlier you would only trade Evans for Zeke, LeVeon or David Johnson.

In a vacuum sure. But it's about position scarcity. There aren't many RBs. I owned Evans in a league and traded him for Brady and Gurley last week (to a team out of the playoffs so it won't hurt me) because there are no RBs.

I had Hyde, C Mike and McKinnon (lost Peterson and CJ Anderson). I had WRs so i hated to lose Evans but needed to.

My bad, thought you were referring to this post earlier in this thread

He said this though.

. I would only trade Antonio Brown, Evans, Julio, or AJG for Zeke, Bell, or DJ straight up.

Do you not think Evans belongs in that tier? If not, why?

I'm assuming this is PPR because I believe that's what the original thread was about.

Because not only are those guys outscoring (ppg) him in PPR, they are all RBs which is more valuable. So like someone said you'd have to pair him with an RB2 to get those top guys.

Right, I would do the deal for the top 3 backs because I'm getting the better end of the deal. Demarco and Melvin I could see, I prefer Evans to them in a vacuum but I wouldn't call you stupid for making it if you need RB help. Lamar Miller is a tier or 2 below those guys is what I'm getting at. Dude is seriously hurt by the Texans' bad offense- he's on the exact same PPG pace as his last 2 seasons.

I really think y'all are sleeping on Evans a bit- He's in that top tier with Antonio and Julio IMO. He may break the record for targets in a season.

Yea sorry I'm really not arguing with you, more with DJ because I think he misrepresented my argument from another thread. It's all good though, valuing players differently makes fantasy football fun.
