always a tad skeptical of these articles written by a Dr. who has only seen what's publicly out there. He definitely has a more educated guess than many, but he's still speculating.

I went in and did some adds and drops of my own to attempt to figure out the problem.
What's happening is ESPN is saying owners spent $1 on their pickups but it's actually not affecting their FAAB budget at all.
I set the minimum acquisition bid to $1, so that's just a kink by ESPN. But I reiterate, it has no actual affect on a team's FAAB budget.
Remember, this is the first year ESPN has made it to where owners can add players that have cleared waivers. So they're still working out kinks on their end, I imagine.
NOTE:
I dropped Kenny Britt to do those test moves to attempt to figure out the problem. I have since added Britt back to my roster. Just letting the league know so there is no confusion.

Is there any way to put a player that is injured or out on injured reserve and fill that players roster spot with someone else.

Sucks, but he won't be the last person to get injured. We could have waited the day before the opener, and the chance of someone tearing their ACL in week 1 is the same.
