Count me in also... going to do both this and Votto.
You may want to revisit 9 bench in a 16 team league; after the first month you won't have much of an FAAB. 5 bench and 3 IR spots are plenty.

As for the 9 bench spots, I had planned on having a period after the FAAB clears to add FAs with no cost. I also figured with 9 bench spots and 16 or so teams, people would be more inclined to pay attention to and add prospects instead of rostering say George Kottaras or some scrub.
Either way, it can be discussed and changed. I'm not married to any of the proposed rules

I ran a football league with almost the exact same setup/rules for the past few years. I abandoned it because the owners I had were too much of a hassle to keep them all paid and they weren't participating enough for my liking.
It's like you said it's not for everyone, but with baseball something more engaging than simply plugging in your lineup every week is great. I'm going to work on starting my league the way I posted in my "more engaging fantasy baseball league" thread, but if I don't get enough response from my buddies I will be down to be in this league.

I very well may be interested in this, Gyno. I'm fairly inexperienced when it comes to fantasy baseball, but I know the game very well. I've been looking for a good baseball league to get in to. I'll let you know for sure tomorrow if that's cool.

I'm in. I just read the note about no inexperienced owners, so if you're cool with me not being a veteran, than I want in. I figured you know how active I am with football and I plan to get just as in to baseball.

I know you are active, and if you follow baseball it won't be too difficult to catch on.
Im not sure the league will come to fruition but if it does you are good to go.

I'll probably give it til Sunday to fill. The lack of interest tells me even if it fills, people won't be as dedicated as one would hope.

I've been playing fantasy for about 7 years and lurk here during baseball season. I'm already in one 100 $ 7 keeper so if you can't fill due to lack of interest I'd play for 50.

Dude, spring training hasn't even started... you gotta give it till mid feb. or when spring training games start to get this thing filled.
Fantasy board is still kind of dead after the football season.

Yeah, the intention was to be an early draft. For that to happen, we would need to add enough owners as well as hammer out a solid league constitution since there are a lot of moving parts.
I was also hoping more board "vets" would jump on board in order to form a solid foundation for the league in year 1. Not to say the commits we have aren't capable by any means.. I just can't vouch for anyone's knowledge and commitment besides Lester. The last thing I want is the "I'll guess I'll play..." owners. The time and energy isn't worth it if it's a half assed league.
That said, I did pick up a 2nd league when it looked like this league wouldn't make. So I'm not even sure about this one.
