So the commissioner of my friend's league isn't paying up...

He was in the championship game and apparently lost the game by 3 points and won't pay up. What's worse is he tried to fool with the scoring settings to see if he could change the outcome. My friend as well as the winner of the title both called him out on it and now he's constantly busy and can't hand over the money.

I haven't received mine yet either... But then again I don't get into leagues with shady people haha.
Like he said, it's been 2 days. If after Monday he hasn't paid, kill him.

The winner flipped out. He emailed everyone in the league repeatedly, telling us that the commish was trying to pocket the money. The commish gave him the money after he got back from vacation. He also informed the winner that we had all voted out of the league.

You don't jump straight to killing him. Break a few fingers first. Then if he doesn't pay you break his legs. Then you kill him.

Rule 1. Don't play with poor people. It can take 2 weeks to get payouts depending on the scenario. That is why being a commish is a thankless arse job. You get rewarded for nothing and you have to deal with a few morons.

I played in a league once where the Commissioner use to have some party for New Years where he would pay out the league. Well, the parties stopped and the payouts became a pain to collect.
Literally MONTHS would fricking go by. Basically he would spend the entire $$ and then need to come up with funds after the season was over. I won that league 4 or 5 times over 12 years, and each year was progressively worse trying to collect.
One year, he had an idea of paying out at the next season's draft, which was his own little ponzi scheme: Paying last year's winners with the next year's entry fees.
I'm glad I'm not in that league anymore.

in the SECr League, we did leaguesafe so everybody paid up front, no questions needed. don't pay, don't play.

However, anyone who messes with the settings to try to produce a win should not be a commissioner or a friend.
Setting aside the money issue, you now have enough information to know that the person you trusted (with commissioner access) is not trustworthy.
You are known by the company you keep. It is no fun to play a game with a person who is going to cheat--for whatever the reason.
Take a lesson from
