And everybody in the room burst into laughter.

I did this based on some schmenk on local radio saying that his timetable for returning is shorter than everyone thinks. (Does anyone really know right now?)

Am I fricked, or will I do the fricking? My RBs are AD, J. Hill, and Foster....

ETA: 12-man, ppr league

I think you were probably a round or two early, but not a horrible pick.

Are AD and J Hill's bye weeks late? If so, it might be a good move. If they are early, then you'll still need a fill-in RB.

I took him in the 8th and my starting RBs are Hill and Morris.

There's a pretty good chance you'll stash him on your bench half the season and then he'll come back for a game or 2 and then get hurt again.
I'd trade him the week he comes back if your other rbs are performing.

I see nothing wrong with it. If Foster works out, then print off the seventh round and send it to everyone in your draft and laugh while they took a mediocre flex.

If your 7th round pick bust, it's not going to kill you. If your 7th round gamble breaks out, you'll be doing all the laughing. It's not a bad gamble. I haven't even started to look into rankings but if he's available in my 7th round, I'd probably take him... I'm a RB hoarder though.

From the laughter (and most mocks/rankings), you probably could have gotten him later, but I don't see anything wrong with pulling the trigger if you wanted him.

IF he gets healthy AND stays healthy - big IFs - he's a league winning addition to your team.

Nobody in the history of Fantasy Football has ever been "fricked" because of their 7th round draft pick. Was it too high? Maybe, but who cares. You're drafting on potential that late anyways.

Personally, I think you have 2 backs who will finish as top 5 performers at RB this year already. You're far from fricked. And the Foster "gamble" could win you the league.

The rest of your league is laughing because they were all targeting him for the next round or 2 and are secretly pissed you got him.
