Yea that is a bummer. You can not win these leagues on good drafting/strategy alone. You must have some luck in not getting injuries.

Unfortunately, no one will want to give up what I will require for the top RB in the league. The reason he will be expensive is because he will finish the top RB in the league and it probably won't be that close. I know, big talk, right? But let me explain briefly...First, he's a great RB. Second, he plays a bunch of terrible teams. Third, the terrible teams he plays also have terrible run defenses. And finally, he's not in a time share. He gets almost all the touches and tons of passes out of the backfield. He's money in the bank as long as he is playing relatively injury free.

At the beginning of the draft, I had Charles #1 overall. Would I have been brave enough to pick him at 1? I don't know, I doubt it. I would have to go with history and just picked ADP. But in terms of talent and schedule, Charles scenario is absolutely perfect. I really can't remember reviewing a RB's schedule pre-draft and thinking, wow, this guy's going to blow up. I have to admit that the one who tipped me off to Charles schedule was one of the no-name guys in the hundreds of "fantasy experts" out there. I don't even remember who it was that said it (probably more than one). But after I reviewed what he already indicated, I believed he was right and more importantly was prepared to get him at all costs, even if I didn't get him in the draft (which I was 100% would not happen). That's why when he and Richardson fell to me I was in such a dilemma. I fully intended on taking T Rich expecting Charles to not be there. I went with my head instead of my heart on that one and it looks like my head has been right so far.

The pick kind of messed me up a bit. My draft picks weren't anywhere near what I had done in my mocks. I was so excited about him falling to me that I kind of got off kilter a bit later in the draft. The Brady/Witten picks would have never happened if I would have gotten anyone else. But I'm digressing...

Those are the reasons Jamaal Charles is so expensive and more than likely no one will want to give up what will be required. I know it may be ridiculous, but I'm not giving him up for pennies on the dollar when I know how much he's really worth. Someone may be able to do it (you know, have the numbers and players necessary for it not to hurt too badly to part with them), but would they be willing to do it? It will be interesting to see.

Well I don't have what it will require unless it would be Rice/Fitz..... Buuuuutttt I think my offer for Lacy is fair

Oh and I agree on Charles if he stays healthy he will be one of the best RB

Oh, if only that had happened

I was planning on Forte all the way, then T-Rich fell to me and I almost went with Forte anyway but couldn't do it.

I think my team would be a title contender if you just swap Forte and T-Rich. Right now I'm decent but not winning anything

Make me a trade offer in the league system. Only way to find out.

Yeah, in what world would you think that first offer wouldn't be completely lop-sided in my favor. It always messes with me a little to watch former fantasy giants fall by the wayside. In particular Rice, I've always loved him and drafted him a bunch of times in the past. I don't think he's done or anything, it's just painful to watch him not do much. And Fitz... he was a monster, but if you don't have a QB, he's worthless from a consistency standpoint.

I'm considering your current offer. I didn't realize you had changed it or should I say...improved it? I really hate MJD (and any other Jacksonville player) right now though

Actually I like Fitz moving forward, they said they needed to get the ball in his hands more and I think we see an uptick in his production over the last half of the season.

I don't hate MJD, I still think he can be a useful RB2/Flex player with Blackmon/Shorts back but I fell in love with Bernard who will be my RB2 from here on out and is the more dynamic player.

Decker/James Jones I figure they are one in the same, they both play in pass first offenses with an elite QB who likes to distribute the ball around. So they will be hit or miss but when they go off, well you want them in your line up.

Thompkins is an up and comer for NE, I know people say when Amendola/Gronk come back he will be useless but I still think he is the #2 receiver for the Pats behind Amendola who is always an injury away. Thompkins looks like he is working better with BRady in recent weeks and should be a consistent 7-10 point scorer

To add insult to injury, not only am I already down 2 players, I'm 11 on the WW and not likely to get anyone worth a damn. Maybe one of you schmucks will drop someone worth while and I can nab him. I predict one of you will make a huge mistake with someone you drop and it will likely hurt you for the rest of the season and help me carry on to the championship.

I have decided that I shall make no ww picks until after all you make your mistakes. Then I will be number one on WW next and add your mistakes to my team making it an indestructible force.
