Ryan Mathews or CJ Anderson?

I'm thin at runningback with Gio Bernard hurt. Which would you choose? Rams haven't given up many rushing tds so that's a negative for Anderson.
Mathews is just as likely to get hurt after 3 carries as he is to run for 150 and 2 tds against Oakland.

I wouldn't worry about that too much. I don't expect Shaun Hill to keep the Rams in the game anymore than Davis would.
Mathews wasn't exactly lighting the world on fire prior to his injury either. I'd roll with Anderson just because I see him getting a higher volume than Mathews.

Think Matthews is supposed to carry the majority of the load if he doesn't get hurt on his first drive out there but I think I would go with him as he will be the clear cut starter.
With ball back its looking like a timeshare in Denver regardless of how generous ESPN predictions are for Anderson

Mathews. Go with the guaranteed touches, assuming he doesn't get hurt.

GUaranteed at least 3 before being out 8 weeks.

I'd go Anderson. I don't love the matchup (for Anderson), but the Chargers are the worst rushing team in the NFL. Despite a good matchup, Matthews will be sharing the load with Oliver and Brown. I think Anderson is the main guy for this week.

Are they really? If so, it seems like all the more reason the Chargers should give Mathews a heavy workload.
