Id say wait after keepers are set

kinda want keepers to be decided straight up. dont want a guy to see he has 1st pick in the supp and that change his keepers. like of imma take goldy, let me know keep X. it's a small thing but i think keep it as pure as possible with the already built in "parity" in mind

Agree with everything posted, but I think the Supplemental Draft should also be in reverse order of last season's standings. For the sake of fairness, of course

Carlos Gonzales
Adam Jones
Carlos Santana

Danny Salazar
Carlos Rodon

Cody Allen

Still willing to mix it up a bit and trade a player with a pick for the right guy.

Here's the regular draft order, worst to best. This is not counting pick trades, it's just draft slots. Louie won the league, Chat placed 2nd, Rick placed 3rd and Will 4th.

Dallas
G$
Gyno
Jew
PCT
Clams
DeeBz
VKC
Will
Rick
Chat
Louie

Good news, neither of the contracted teams (Earl and Broeho) traded any picks!

draft after keepers. Everyone has played it that way leading up. This hurts someone with more potential keepers, helps someone with a weaker keeper set

Damn, I was thinking that we would get to keep those two guys.

Any further thought on FAAB? Do we need any polls?

Here is the draft matrix (read like a snake starting in the upper-left hand corner). LINK

The keepers tab has the projected keepers (above the horizontal line) and OTB guys (below the horizontal line). Let me know if you need to update your team's keepers and/or OTB.

I think we will have to do it before selecting keepers because if not, you're adding two rounds to the draft meaning you're cutting out the last two rounds. Some people have multiple picks in the last couple rounds, so we can't do that.

We will need to do the supplement draft with the 2 vacant teams, then select keepers, then draft.

It changes the valuation of picks regardless.

In prior seasons, we had 112 keepers. A first round pick is a draft pick between 113-126. Now, a first round draft pick is between 97-108 with only 96 keepers.

I'm not following

It's really 2 separate entities.

I think the end of the draft is irrelevant really. Draft is too long already

Can't we just cut out the last 2 rounds and let whoever still needs to fill a roster spot draft their guys? Kind of like the compensatory picks they tack on to the NFL draft in round 7.

The people with multiple late round picks have them because they were trading away a pick for an asset- it's not like they were even really trying to acquire those extra picks.

It does, that's why I think it's fair to have a random order sup draft, so people who traded their picks don't feel like they are totally getting screwed. IMO it actually helps the people like you who traded top picks, because now those 3rd and 4th round picks aren't so bad. It's a win-win for everyone...well as close as we are going to get, anyway.

I agree. If I would have known I had a shot at goldy, altuve, etc. I would have never traded my 1st rounder.

I think it's a cool wrinkle and gives this league new life but isn't taking anything away from how we do things.

It still makes the first round way more valuable. Someone like Lou or Chat (strong keeper set) could end up throwing a really keeper back in the pool now. Dallas is probably getting a top 50 player.
