I offered bats or picks. Clams set the price.

Stroman's ADP was like 100 this year. That pick is probably around 110.

So far that is the only pick that has been traded. Agree, not a good trade. Pitching is hard to come by and VKC just got a sub 3.00 guy.

Right we have like 8 teams who are competing. There are 12 fricking teams with huge rosters. If you have to trade a pick to win gtfo

Has a trade ever been vetoed before?

Gtfo cause I have played by the rules? I was offered Stroman at that price and accepted it.

I suggested eliminating pick trading at some point in the offseason if we wanted.

Yeah, I felt like I needed another pitcher. Nothing wrong with that. On the last page, I said bats or picks. You sure love to whine.

You wanted to eliminate picks? Lol. Then stop using them as a crutch to fall back on. I never said you broke any rules.

You're in 2nd place, act like it

I proposed it when people complained about them this offseason. I am fine either way whether we have them or not.

Why would I not want to make my team as good as possible? Who gives a shite about how my team is built? My only goal right now is to secure a bye with a very tough remaining schedule (you, Chat, and Lou).

It's been a very well played league up until this point. I know you're always the first guy to sell your picks I just thought we were past that this season with a small league

Do your thing

I did not intend to cause a shite storm. I figured I would move Stroman for a pick, I was planning to throw him back in the redraft pool anyway. Maybe I should have held out for more, who knows.

Should we vote to eliminate pick trading in future seasons?

I believe picks are frequently overvalued, so I don't see why I would not improve my chances? I guess we just have different philosophies on how to manage teams.

We can take it up in the offseason. People trade and value players/picks in their own way. I don't blame clams or vkc here. They are using the system in place.

It's not on you, it's on Clams.

I disagree. Clams made a decision like anyone else is able to do. VKC has been advertising that he was looking for an arm. No one to be upset with. If you guys want to criticize it, go ahead. Anyone wanting it veto'd is out of line also unless we have previously agreed to some sort of veto process.

You should have been able to pull something useful for Stro. That being said are you locked into 8 keepers on your roster? If so, was there a real chance of upgrading that group with a trade of Stroman?

I wouldn't veto it. Just think it was a lopsided trade.

The more I think about it, having only 8 keepers could make it harder to trade with bottom dwellers and picks have actual value.

I wasn't saying it should be vetoed. Just wondering if y'all were about to set the precedent. I'm totally against vetoes.
