Somewhat new to auction leagues. Decided to go stars / scrubs. 12 teams. 5 x 5. H2H format.

Did I go too hitting heavy? Too heavy on stars and scrubs? Thoughts?

Pitching is not good. Especially if this is a H2H points league

Not a points league. It's a H2H category league.

How were you able to pick up Harper, Trout, Goldschmidt and Votto in an auction and have any money left over for anything but $1 scrubs?

Schwarber isn't cheap either.

I bought 5 of the first 6 players. The rest of the league followed my aggressiveness. And I was able to get a bunch of ok players for $1-$2.

This was the inaugural draft of a new keeper league I'm in. I chose stars / scrubs so I could wind up with assets to trade for potential freezes and because this strategy would force me to find $1 values that could turn into game changing keepers. Open to feedback, as I have a similar draft tonight, and I'm thinking about doing the same thing..

I dont think the pitching is that bad. You got a bunch of 2s and 3s, but they pitch for good teams and should rack up some wins.

You have 3 of the top 4 hitters from 2015, and 4 of the top 11. Id play it out and add pitchers as you go. Be ready to jump on the studs getting called up

Appreciate it. Honestly, I've got another draft tonight and will probably try to do the same thing..

If it was a roto, you'd be in trouble. Being that it's a H2H, you manage especially with that hitting. Stream for W's and K's. Pitchers come out the woodwork throughout the season.

Man that hitting is sexy.

This looks like a papz dream team without the 30-something year old sluggers. I love the strategy here. Great gamble, and I think it could really pay off.
