10 team PPR

Traded Gillisle for TY Hilton

My team was

Cousins

L. Miller
J. Ajay
M. Gillisle
J. Rodgers
D. Martin
J. Mixon

Aj. Green
Dez Bryant
M. Bryant
J. Kearse

T. Eifert
J. Doyle

Obviously I'm buying low on Hilton and hoping Luck gets back.

I thought I did pretty well, but the second it went through, I got a text from someone in the league saying they didn't like it (for me).

I'm banking on Mixon or Martin to really produce in a lead role and Lamar Miller to hang on to his job until they do.

I think the trading a boom or bust type rb2 for the receiving leader from last year is a no brainer.

I think you could have done much, much better. You should be selling high on Gillislee. There's no way to know when Luck is coming back, so Hilton is a flex play at best to me while Gillislee is pretty much a must start.

I'm not planning on playing Hilton until Luck comes back.

Gillislee had one exceptional week and one good week. Even with 3 touchdowns, his score was about as low as it could be. He doesn't catch many passes and hasn't come close to 100 yards. I know he will have awesome weeks, but he will likely have a lot of duds with the lack of yards and lack of passes.

In my mind, Hilton has an excellent shot of being an almost elite receiver again when Luck gets back. They didn't put him on IR, so it seems like he will make it back before too long.

Eta: but maybe you're right. It's hard to argue it when Gillislee is a top 10 back at the moment.

You said you would expect more, how much more do you think someone could get?

I have Gillislee and for a straight up trade, I wouldn't take anything less than a top 15-20 WR or a top 5 QB. That may even be asking too much, but he is a better back than Blount in the exact same position and Blount scored 18 TDs last year. That's your selling point. If no one bites on that, wait until he scores 2 more TDs on Sunday and then ask for even more.

Eta: I'm thinking of offering Gillislee and Garcon for Antonio Brown. Again, may be too high of a target, but starting there, then maybe AJ Green. I feel like going after Hilton is starting at the bottom. Doesn't mean I'm right.

I got AJ green straight up for gilislee.

Definitely shoot for the rafters. There will be someone that over values him.

I guess my question is, how come you made the trade now.? You've basically given away a touchdown machine for zero value because you aren't using him? Was your thinking that once Luck came back you wouldn't be able to get Hilton then? What happens if Luck doesn't come back? Maybe not likely, but possible.

I see this as you traded away a definite in Gillislee and hoping for 3 maybes. It may work out for you, I hope it does.

You traded a really hot rb for a wr that is garbage without his qb who won't be back for another month?

I rate this as you screwed yourself.
