Here's the situation..

Player drops Tim Hightower at some point during, or before the saints game, Sunday. Today commish (who is the son of the person who dropped Hightower) goes back and Hightower is placed back on The same roster as person who dropped him, instead of him going into The waiver wire.

It gets caught by a person in the league and put on the Facebook page asking why. It is then claimed that the person that dropped Hightower did it on accident and meant to drop somebody else, so he was placed back on his team.

This is a 14 team dynasty league with a roster of like 20 players, so rbs are impossible to get off waivers. Hightower would have been gold on the wire this week.

Also, Facebook post that the owner made calling commish out on BS, was taken down shortly after because we were "trolling."

Now I'm a dickhead, along with the person who caught it, because we called him out on it.

Is there any circumstance where this is not collusion. Commish post here so he will be here shortly to defend his actions I'm sure.

That's BS, how do you "accidentally" drop someone? It asks you if you want to drop the player! That person is an idiot if he didn't catch it and that's his fault, he should have to drop Hightower

It could have been exactly that...he was dropped by mistake. It happened in my league earlier this year with S Diggs. Didn't really like it but didn't think it was collusion either.

You have to click on the player you want to drop once you add someone. Easily can mistakenly click the wrong guy...then it takes you to a screen where it shows person you are adding and person you are dropping...have to click submit with just them two on the screen. After all that...you still drop the dude then it's on you at that point.

We had this happen in our league last year. Dude who dropped the person manned up and finished the season without him with no complaints. Knew he made a mistake, but held himself accountable for his actions. Commish should be striped of his duties and Hightower should be placed back on waivers

If it was a top player, I'd buy the accidental drop. Hightower has done nothing all year and is owned in like 2% of leagues, it was no accident. His role increase was unforeseen.

If this is your dad youre helping out, then a league vote needs to be done.

But that's not what the OP is asking... The guy that dropped him had pretty much 2 chances of knowing who he was dropping and for who, at that point if you don't realize then that's on you

Yet you think he intentionally dropped Hightower?

Ok I'll answer that question then. That's not collusion.

Its possible. He was dropped for the back up RB on Denver (not CJ's back up, his back up). So 3rd string back with a healthy Anderson. He was dropped before Hightower blew up in this game and took starter snaps.

I would tend to let things like this slide if it happens immediately. Mistakes happen, and I wouldn't make a big deal out of it. That is to say if I were commissioner and I got a text immediately after a mistaken drop was made then I would probably lean towards reversing it. That said if the league took issue with it then I would feel obligated to put it up to a league vote. After the vote whatever is decided would be set in stone as the expected standard procedure, unless a vote is put forward during the offseason to change standards.

Yea, after reading more and thinking it over, he should go on waivers. There was a thread on here a couple of weeks ago about the acceptable timeframe for undoing a mistake like this. I don't think next day is acceptable, especially after a game has been played.

So he just put the roster back, or did he make the guy drop another player to keep his newly acquired player? If the guy didn't notify the commish until after Hightower played, thats BS

He went to pick up bibs and drop the 4th string den RB.

Why would he want the 2nd and 3rd string RB in Denver over the 2nd guy in Nola.

Obvious mistake and he notified the commishes immediately

I'd be inclined to let this one go. I don't think I've accidentally dropped a player, but I can say it has happened this year in at least 2 TD leagues with fairly competent owners.

It is suspect, but sometimes cohesiveness of the league trumps hard rules. If owner had Hightower before, there's no new advantage to re-adding him to roster compared to bad blood that could be caused putting him on the waiver wire. IMO.

I would caveat that with one time only - you "accidentally" drop any other players in league's future, it's on you.
