I've used NFL.com every year of my league (I'm the Commissioner) and I've always drafted offline and then entered the teams and matched them to invitations after the draft party was over.

This year I want to change things up on multiple fronts:

1.) I'm fairly certain an online draft will help reduce back-end data entry work for me and allow me to enjoy my Sunday afternoon.

Question RE: #1 - Does anyone have experience running an online Draft using NFL.com Fantasy and if so, what was your experience like?

2.) For In-Draft up-keep, what's the best iOS app (I'd like to use my iPad Mini) to keep track of my players, other players selected and "best available"? I know several guys that have their spreadsheets and player rankings but I also know some guys use apps as well.

Thanks in advance and my apologies if these are noob questions.

I can't answer your question about nfl.com but wanted to give you feedback on your iOS question.

I purchased the footballguys draft dominator and it's pretty badass.

I play in five leagues with different scoring settings. First thing I did was enter all the settings. For four of my leagues, I knew the draft order ahead of time and was able to set that within the app. I did mock drafts for those leagues to get a feel for who I should look for each round. For my fifth league, we do a live offline draft and pick the draft order 30 minutes before the draft starts. I did mock drafts with early, mid, and late draft spots. I've done two of my drafts so far and I'm pretty happy with how the app worked. It also has rate my team integrated which I need to post in the thread.

Some features that I like about it:

View player info on the fly. Schedule, depth chart, outlook, and latest news.
Sort by position and view tiers of players by position. View complementary players by position based on schedule. I found this helpful to pickup a backup qb or te that had the best bye week schedule or if I wanted to use a committee approach.
View own roster and other teams' roster. There's also the ability to view position count by team. This can help decide a position to pick if you're coming around the turn for a round or have a long way to go until your next pick.

I may post more things I liked about it when I get back to my iPad. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

The draft is the best part of the whole thing.

Online drafts suck arse.
