Nelson/Adams/Cobb owners, are you trading your WRs with no Rodgers?

In almost all of my leagues, I have either Jordy Nelson or Davante Adams. I've gotten a couple trade offers (clearly low balling me) but I figured I'd ask you guys what your plans are for them.

Adams put up most of his points with Hundley on Sunday. Packers are set up to pass the ball offensively and they've said that they are confident in backup QB. I figured I'd at least give them a few more weeks.

I'm holding Jordy. I think he's still gonna finish as a WR1.

Only way I'd move Jordy is if getting another WR1 back in return, or (depending on team need) an RB1.
I'd be willing to move Adams, but I doubt you can get him for good enough value at this point.

Posted this Monday but worth repeating
n 2013 when Rodgers missed 7 games, Nelson averaged 11.6 points per game and scored just 1 TD
His finishes were
WR 27
WR 11
WR 36
WR 83
WR 35
WR 18
WR 53
So he was barely a flex in 12-team leagues. This isn’t even including the fact that GBs OL is falling apart and the fact that Nelson’s value as a WR1 came with massive TD upside. Do we really expect Hundley to average 3 TDs a game?

quote:trade them for what? They're a HOLD right now, realistically you won't be getting good value.

You won't get enough value in return for trading. However if I'm trying to get one Packers WR, it's Adams, not Jordy

And you gotta realize how far that Rodgers Nelson rapport goes. In his older age he’s become more TD dependent on those slants and back shoulder throws. Hundley has had minimal reps w the first unit
Hundley was good in the preseason so I don’t think he will totally kill them.

Hundley actually hit a back shoulder throw to Nelson Sunday but it wasn't nearly as clean. He's been a great preseason player and wasn't there for the above sample so I have no real data to go on at this point. I'm starting Jordy this week and further evaluating after the bye.

Hundley threw 33 times. Target share was:
Adams - 10
Nelson - 9
Jones - 4
Montgomery -3
Cobb - 3
Allison - 2
Bennett -1
Ripkowski - 1
Small sample size, but almost 2/3 of his targets went to either Adams or Nelson. Looks like Cobb is the biggest loser just looking at that distribution. But again, this is just one game and worth noting they were down the whole time and playing a tough D. With the Saints coming to town this week they'll probably have to throw 30+ times again, so that should help to see if this target share becomes a trend
Obviously TD numbers will come way down across the board, but if Hundley zeroes in on Adams/Nelson (as opposed to Rodgers spreading the love) that much going forward then they may be able to sustain some great value at the expense of Cobb and maybe Montgomery not getting all the dumpoffs

Rodgers is a 65% comp @ 8 y/a guy
Hundley was 55% @ 5 y/a Sunday
If those numbers hover around there, you are looking at a drastic difference in value between a Rodgers target and a Hundley target. I think that goes without saying

I think Hundley will be better than he was on Sunday with more reps with the 1's and better defensive matchups, but I'm also worried Green Bay cuts pass attempts down and just pounds the rock with Jones and TyMo.

That Oline is banged up too
25% of Hundley targets went to RBs - that could be something to watch in PPR. If Montgomery gets healthy he could eat there

If possible to get great value would you look to move Nelson?
Posted on 10/17/17 at 12:41 pm to Byron Bojangles III
It just depends, but if you’re truly getting great value how could you not

One league I am in is 8 team.
I was offered Nelson + Thielen for Michael Thomas. I know this seems like a no brainer, but to me it is tough call. Thomas is definitely the best player oput of this with Rodgers out. But I am kinda thin now that I lost Odell and Dalvin Cook, and Cooper has been horrendous.
My team now is:
PPR 2 flex spots:
Fournette
Kamara
Thomas
Garcon
Cooper
Mixon
D Parker
Kelce
Prescott
he also has Mckinnon. What about offering Thomas and Mixon for Thielen, Nelson and Mckinnon?

I would try to get Nelson and Mckinnon for Thomas myself.

My offer is
Michael Thomas
Joe Mixon
for
jordy Nelson
Adam Thielen
Mckinnon
If he declines I might go with Nelson + Mckinnon. But, I really like Thielen.
