One of my leagues is going to a keeper league stating this year. We have pretty much everything in place, but one thing. We are doing our keepers based on the round they we drafted the year before, with their value going up a round for every year he is kept after that. So, with that being the case, the rule for keeping two guys from the same round is, you must give up your pick in the round they were drafted and your pick one round earlier. For example, if you keep two 3rd round players, you give up your 2nd and 3rd.

How do you handle keeping two first round players? Do you just make them give up their first two picks?

That seems most logical, but I figured some of you are in leagues like this and could share. I appreciate any help.

I just wouldn't allow two first rounders to be kept

Wouldn't allow 2 first rounders bc it would be an exception to the rule

Can't keep two players from rd1/2 bc they would both fall into rd 1.

This right here tells me that NO first rounder should be able to be kept, because the round you'd hypothetically have to give up is 0, which obviously doesn't work. From my understanding, once they reach their first round value they go back into the draft. So basically you can keep a 4th round pick for 3 years after the initial drafted year, then he goes back into the draft.

Thank y'all for the responses. I'm going to have to talk to the league and see what they'd prefer to do.

Tots, I'd like to get you in this league eventually. If I ever have an opening, I'm calling you!
