I have Marshawn Lynch, Jamal Charles and Sevan Ridley. Unfortunately 2 of the 3 have the same week 10 bye week. I have a proposed trade before me my Steve Smith of Carolina for Giovani Bernard. I s this a good deal or should I just wait and see who busts out?

If the guy is dumb enough to take that trade, then you should grab Gio.

If not, you should sit tight. My potential breakout RB is Stepfan Taylor of Arizona. He has already been tapped as the goal line RB in Arizona, and he will eventually take over as the main guy from the two injury prone RBs on that roster.

Week 10 is a long way off.

I have been putting the trade analyzer and everyone says he is getting the better part of the deal getting smith. Is it just because bernard is a rookie?

It's the same situation as in Denver. Denver trusts Knowshon. Cincy trusts Green-Ellis.

Are you planning on starting Steve smith?

No keep Smith. It's a long ways off until week 10. Smith is worth more than Gio, too.

Who are your other WR's besides the three you've mentioned?

While it is a long time away, if you have a solid 4th option, I'd make the deal.

Keep Steve Smith and say frick week 10. Smith has more value than Gio IMO. It's only one game, if your team is good enough one loss won't matter that much.

Steve Smith > Gio

Especially if he is a starter for you. Deal with week 10 when you get a little more clarity. It is only week 1.

I'd make the deal. Whether you need him or not, he has more potential upside than Smith. I wouldn't have any issues running with Jackson and Nelson every week with Hilton being a fill in when necessary. It's not like Smith is an elite option anymore.

I wouldn't trade Smith for Gio. Don't worry about a week 10 bye. What are the odds your roster will look the same at that point?
