Last week I had 189 points, highest in our league, and the next highest had 163 pts. But I still made some changes and picked up some good players off of waivers.

Players only from BCS and Independents

Active for week 2:

Rettig, Chase QB BC (had 400+ yards passing vs Miami last week, this week vs Maine. Plays Maine and Wake Forest on Geno Smith's bye weeks)

Hilliard, Kenny RB LSU (just picked him up off waivers--shares carries, but playing crappy Pac12 defense)

Roland, Desmond RB OKLAST (just picked off waivers--had a ton of pts last week in their 84-0 win, this week playing Arizona)

King, Tavarres WR UGA (solid)

Mitchell, Brandon WR ARK (just picked him up off waivers--big former QB turned WR--solid, and could be really good)

Rogers, Zach WR TENN (pretty solid)

Wilson, Marquess WR WASHST (was preseason predicted to be one of the best WR in FF, but did nothing last week vs BYU--keeping him for now based on potential)

Friel, Kaneakua TE BYU (just picked him up off waivers, had 24 ff pts last week vs WashSt)

Stephenson, Riley K BYU (just picked up off waivers)

Utah DST (drafted, supposed to be a good D)

My Week 2 reserves

Smith, Geno QB WVU (led our league with 66 ff pts last weekend, off this week)

Gillislee, Mike RB FLA (solid and had a good week 1, but I decided to sit him and keep Hilliard this week)

Williams, Terrance WR BAYLOR (solid, off this week)

Seferian-Jenkins, Austin TE WASH (one of the leading ff TE last year, but playing LSU this week)

Hunnicutt, Michael K OKLA (just picked him up off waivers (someone dropped him)--one of the leading K last year, but not that great last week vs UTEP)

Mississippi State DST (solid, I guess. At least I hope so.)

Players dropped

Brett Maher, K for Nebraska

Chris Harper, WR for KState

Nathan Scheelhaase, QB for Illinois (wasn't very good in week 1, and the BC QB seemed better for Geno Smith's bye weeks)

Cameron Marshall, RB for AZ State (did alright for me in week 1, but I liked Desmond Roland and Kenny Hilliard's outlooks better)

Justin Brown, WR for Oklahoma (may regret this one, but not that great in week 1)

I first picked up James Wilder, RB for Florida State to play vs Savannah State this week, but then dropped him to get Kenny Hilliard for the whole season.

Just thought I'd update...

I got killed this week and had the 2nd fewest points in our league. Lost by over 100 points.

The Ok State RB and the two WR's that I picked up after week 1 each had ZERO points in week 2. That Wash State WR who was one of the best in ff last year and my #1 drafted WR had only 3 points against East Washington.

The two WR and 1 RB I dropped didn't do much better--a couple of them had 10 points and one had 3 points.

I picked the wrong defense to be active (MSU did much better than Utah) and RB (reserve Gillislee did much better--21 points to 0--than my active OK State RB).

So my 'pretty good college team' sucked, and had I made no changes or all the perfect changes, I still would have been whupped this week.

At least I get Geno Smith and the good Baylor WR back from bye weeks, and I will keep both Hilliard and Gillislee active and get rid of the OK State RB.
