The man went unstaffed in my fantasy league which I thought was crazy lol I wanted to be the one to take him but I have no idea how the saints will use him

No idea. It's a really crowded backfield, but he should be on a roster pretty much in any format.

I'll let all my saint fans in my leagues overdraft him

I took this dude in the 9th in PPR yesterday and I'm not too excited about it.

We shall see.

Could be awesome, could be extremely pedestrian.

9th round is fine. He could be an 800 yard, 8-10 td player or he may get hurt week 1. Don't forget that Ingram is fairly injury prone as well and also has had some fumbling issues in the past. There's potential for Peterson to be a feature back. A 9th round flyer is a good pick IMO.

If Ingram goes down then I think Kamara is the guy you want.

You may be correct. I was really just talking potential and how the 9th round is good value for that potential. The Saints do run the ball a lot inside the 10 and Peterson is the best back of the 3 for that IMO.

He will get more carries as the game winds down and probably a few at the goal line. There is no way to know right now. If he has a chip on his shoulder to prove the world he is the best, and comes out looking like 2015 AP then Im guessing he and Ingram will split 50/50. Kamara will also get carries. It will truly be a 3 headed monster unless one gets injured.

My best guess, in theory, is something like 2008 when Saints had Duece, Bush and Pierre Thomas

Distribution went as follows that year

PT — 160 touches (129 rush, 31 rec), 909 yards, 12 TDs
Bush — 158 touches (106 rush, 52 rec), 844 yards, 6 TDs
Duece — 125 touches (107 rush, 18 rec), 546 yards, 6 TDs

Doubt Peterson is catching many passes, so he's more like Duece at this stage except with the TD potential like Thomas had in 2008. Kamara is the bush comp with Ingram serving as the PT.

However, Reggie has several years experience under his belt. Kamara is a rookie. I'm not sure if he gets that many touches right off the bat.

If we assume the backfield gets about 450 touches (the same as 2016), Ingram may get 215 with AP getting 150-175. Cadet carried the ball just 4 times last year but had 40 catches. Maybe Kamara has a big role in the pass game (50+ catches) but doesn't get many rushing attempts, leaving those for Ingram and AP

I'd own him because you never know with Ingram.
