who'd you start RB2/Flex? Seems bad to leave Foster on the bench

I went with Hillis because he was against the jags and if he had 5 more receiving yards he would have ended the day at I think 25 points.

Sitting the best player at his position has to be frustrating. Good thing you have to be stupid to do it. Oh and before the OP defends himself let me remind him, you sat Arian Foster. Yes, you are stupid

Love how bold the internet makes people. I had to sit one and having the Jets defense I went with them holding Foster. Hillis against the Jags seemed like the right thing to do this week. And to be honest I most likely would have started Gore anyway so I would have lost out on Hillis 19 points and been screwed either way.

I've started Ben the past 3 weeks. He's been pretty good, but Ryan has also been pretty good on my bench. This week I decided to switch it up and started Ryan. Ben put up 42

Not trying to be bold. I just don't understand how people put their best players on the bench.

Answer this, what was the first thing that came to mind when you saw foster go off? Maybe something like "I can't believe i sat Arian Foster." Why did appear on the OP? I'm not saying your stupid at life, you just made a stupid decision today. It may have seemed right in your mind when you factored in the matchups but you were clearly over-thinking how good Foster is and how big of a role he plays in the Texans offense.

So there is no situation where you sit Foster? You sir are wrong.

In my league we start 2 rb and I started MJD and Turner and sat Foster because he was playing the Jets. I think at least half of the people on this board would have done the same thing in my situation.

No Flex player here. My thinking was, the Jets defense is good, I either sit Gore or Hillis. Hillis has the jags, Gore was projected higher this week so I made the choice. I think many probably would have because yes Foster is not a monster every week.

Sometimes the better player doesn't have the better game. Sometimes its just luck and has nothing to do with being stupid.

I agree with jr. Foster is a stud, so you don't bench him. He has been the best rb this year.

While you did a great job assessing who was going against the best defense, I think you failed to properly weigh the other factors.

How about overall capability of the offense? The Texans rank 6th in the league in total offense. Cleveland is 24th and San Francisco is 29th. Pretty big discrepancy.

How about the presence of a passing game to help establish the run? Schaub vs. Troy Smith and Colt McCoy? Seriously?

How about the production of the actual player? Foster is one of 2 players in the league averaging 100yds/game on the ground. Gore and Hillis are in the 80s. Rushing: Gore - 3tds, Hillis - 8, Foster - 10.

Even Matchups have bad days. Thats right, did anyone see what Mike Goodson rolled up against the Ravens today? How about Benjarvus Green-Ellis at pittsburgh last week? You would assume the RB would have a bad day against a tough defense but why is that more likely than a tough defense having a bad day against a great RB?

Its not rocket science. I just really believe you over-thought this one. any of the 3 are likely must starts in any other lineup. You just sat the best one because he had the worst matchup. That would have been the correct move if the guy you chose to sit wasn't building his case for MVP. Had they all been equal players with equal situations then yes, sit the worst matchup. But you don't sit the best in the league, especially when the other two play on a couple of the worst offenses in the league.

Its the same reason you wouldn't sit Roddy White or Philip Rivers against the Jets, Giants, Saints, etc. You even put in the OP implying it was a bad move. Don't get mad at me bro

Since Week 3 when Hillis took over as starter he has averaged 19.37 points a game in our league, in the same time span Foster has averaged 20.94. I think this is a bit closer than people want to make it out for.

I would start Foster over Gore any day of the week.
